I did not have to bait these, and still had good results. I set them up along a wall near their suspected entry point of my apartment and caught two mice within a 48 hour period. Much better success than I had with snap-traps.
The glue strips do work but not everytime. We have field mice at my work and one was able to drag the strip all the way into another office down the hall and one got away and still can't find the strip...lol. But we did catch another one
I LOVE these Traps. I moved into my new place which sadly I found out came with a few other Tenants (Mice). These traps caught all of them with ease, they did not break free from the traps and they’re pretty easy to use. Clean up is a Breeze as long as you’re not weirded out by the Mice still being alive. I have 2 Dogs and they pay these traps no mind unlike others I tried before hand.
Lot box of 4 traps, Shed Mice, set out first trap ,guess worked , but trap disappeared. Set out second , disappeared , must be big . Set out # 3 & 4 , peanut butter middle , same as first 2 traps. Waiting . will report back. So Yes seem to work fast , their stuck o something. I pinned the others down to floor , will see if that works. Bottom line , would suggest fastening to floor , with double sided tape if possible, or punch hole in lip and add a chain. Neil

Caught a mouse with the trap. He was sitting quietly eating the cookie I used as bait. This trap is not cruel if you check it often so the mouse that you catch is not on it very long. We took the mouse and trap to a field near the woods and sprayed its feet with a squirt bottle filled with some dish washing liquid and water. That set his feet free from the glue and he was able to scamper off, unharmed into the woods.
