A: Do you mean the 3 way lightbulb? That was the only extra thing that was out of the ordinary that was needed for the lamp. I got them at target also.
A: To clarify, "two lead" just means "three way". You probably won't find much if you look for "two lead" because that term is not used much. Instead if you look for "3-way light bulb". you should find plenty of options.
A: Hi Amber Well, can you please post links for the two bulbs. I could not find the above suggested bulbs with two way Lead CFLs
A: Hi Raj- Thanks for reaching out! We'd suggest using 150 Watts Incandescent or 40 Watts Incandescent bulb.We hope this helps. - Amber
A: Hi Nyuk– Thanks for asking! This sleek lamp will use a maximum light bulb wattage of 150 watts. Here is a link to the light bulbs: http://bit.ly/2E4X269. I hope this helps. - Anita
A: If this has plastic globes like the one I was sent, I would not recommend using any larger than a 60 watt bulb, or they will get too hot.
A: "Double lead" refers to the fact that the upper lamp is designed to accept three way bulbs. (The instructions highly recommend that one use a three-way bulb rather than a single wattage bulb and includes an image that shows you the difference in appearance.) You should be able to easily do a web search on "3-way bulb" to learn more about these and where they can be purchased. (They are fairly common.)
A: Measured it's 2" around and approximately 6 ft tall. It's very sturdy and can be used in a living room, but I use both of mine in bedrooms. I bought the black. I think it's quite stylish and a great price. I love the fact that you can maneuver the bottom part and the top part stays still. So if you need to read in bed or on the couch, you can position the bottom light toward you.
A: The pole is 2 inches around and it's about 6 feet tall. It's sturdy and can be used in any room, although I bought two specifically for my bedrooms.
A: Hi J A - I'm glad to hear you're interested in this stylish torchiere floor lamp. The weighted base and pole are made of steel which makes this lamp sturdy enough to add ambiance to any room. Thanks for stopping by! - Philip
A: The lamp I received with LED bulbs had just a one-way switch. I tried a 3-way bulb and it did not work.
A: Hi Alex - Good question! The 3-way switch allows you to choose between one light or both. Based on other reviews here, fellow guests have found that single and double wattage bulbs also work. It's recommended that you use incandescent bulbs, with a maximum of 150 watts. Hope that helps you out! - Katrina
A: Not sure why people are saying LED bulbs are the same "equivalent" as incandescent. For example a 100 watt equivalent LED uses only about 13w and hardly generates any heat so not sure why it is not safe to use in the "task" lamp, as far as the main lamp, it is tough (and expensive) to find LED bulbs with higher than 150W equivalent anyway, even though that should be no more than 23w and still not generate a lot of heat. I would recommend LED over Incandescent because less heat which will increase longevity of plastic shade. I guess its a CYA and the recommendations are over cautious. For example it says you "have to use a 3-way bulb" on the packaging and warns of risk of fire but so many use this with a regular bulb
A: Hi Rex - Great questions! The torchiere lamp features a 3-way switch and works best with a 150 Watt 3-way bulb. The adjustable gooseneck reading light is compatible with a LED bulb labelled "40-watt equivalent". Thanks for shopping Target! - Philip
A: Hello. It has a 3-way switch, so if you use three-way bulbs, you can enjoy the thee-way dimming behavior (off/ low/ medium/ high brightness). If you don't want to pay for a three-way bulb and you don't care about dimming, it's fine to put a standard bulb in a three-way fixture. You just won't get any dimming (It will be either on or off).
A: Hi LKaty - This is a great lamp that has a 3-way switch, but not a dimmer. Hope it works in your space, thanks! - Shelly
A: The arm for the task light is flexible(It has an adjustable goose neck arm). And the shades are now plastic.
A: Hello Helena Handbasket - This is a fun floor lamp! It has an adjustable gooseneck arm. Hope you love it! - Andrew
A: The 150/three way bulb is on the top. And be careful unpacking the box, if the shades fall even a few inches, they shatter. I had to order a replacement shade and it was hard to find. Great lamp other than could be packed better.
A: Hi KDDid21 – Thanks for asking! This Torchiere floor lamp is a must for any room. The maximum light bulb wattage is 150 watts. Have fun lighting up your space. – Anita
A: A single wattage bulb works as well as a three-way like GE Reveal 50/100/150-Watt 3-Way Incandescent Light Bulb available at Target.com.
A: Hello Reddy - Good question! The 3-way switch allows you to choose between one light or both. Based on other reviews here, fellow guests have found that single and double wattage bulbs also work. It's recommended that you use incandescent bulbs, with a maximum of 150 watts. Hope that helps you out! - Andrew
A: Top is designed for 3 way but will take a single wattage. I used a 60 LED and works fine, just have to click extra time
A: Nope! I have just a single 40 watt equivalent in both sockets and it works great!
