Add a natural element to your living space with the Tree Trunk Accent Table from Threshold™. This silver tree trunk table is the perfect space to rest a vase of flowers, a decorative arrangement and more. The irregular shape creates a unique look, and the etching within the aluminum construction creates a realistic tree trunk look.
Best for a super modern or modern/rustic space. I purchased 1 at a store in the clearance section that was a return, it was used in the basement and it alone was slightly odd in its space as a lone table. If it was a corner table it could work amongst a lot of stuff. but as a lone wolf a little odd without something to blend it in. I believe it would be great as table/stools if you have several in a space. So moving to a place with a lot of outdoor space I purchased 6 more to be used as chairs around a fire or indoor as random seating/tables.
The great is that it is very tree log like, it has rubber stoppers and floor friendly. hollow and light, and yet thick and resistant enough that the aluminum makes it strong!
The not so great is that the log features are somewhat simple artistic (not realistic) and the table is muted as cast aluminum with edges that were ground so they wouldn't be sharp but it looks rough where the casting lines formed... not super shiny modern or dull and muted (somewhere in-between)
I think this "table" will last hundreds of years unless horribly horribly abused.
I would consider spray painting if it needed to fit in decor. Black/White/Pink/ANY COLOR, but I wouldn't expect the paint to survive as long as the table does.
It's ok. The wood "look" is not very prominent, and the top finish around the sides is kind sloppy. It's really noticeable where they put the top on the base. Still, I kept it because I couldn't find another silver one that looked like a tree trunk in my price range. Also I wanted a side table that my big dogs couldn't knock over. It serves the purpose.
