TUDIA Google Pixel 7 Merge Series Case

I had previously tried a different case for my phone but it was too thin and didn't feel like it had a lot of protection. When this one arrived I knew it was going to protect my phone. It has an inside layer for added protection. I love that is comes in indigo blue colors.

Initially, I was surprised by its thickness, but I soon realized that it's actually a positive feature because it provides excellent protection against bumps and scratches. The case's spacious design is quite eye-catching and sets it apart from others. It feels great in the hand, adding to the overall satisfaction. Plus, its non-slip feature reduces the chances of accidental drops. Craftsmanship is top-notch, ensuring durability. It offers comprehensive protection for both the camera and edges of the Pixel 7. Despite its sturdy build, it doesn't hinder access to ports and functions, making everyday use effortless.

I decided to give this case a try with my new Pixel 7, and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's slim, feels comfortable to hold, and provides solid protection. Interestingly, I found that the hard plastic shell snapped out of the TPU interior case without any trace of glue to hold it on. With just the plastic shell, the weight dropped to 33g, resulting in a 17% increase. The fit is snug but not overly tight. However, I did encounter some issues with clearance around the USB-C charging port, requiring extra care to ensure a complete cable insertion with certain cables. On the positive side, the power and volume buttons all functioned perfectly. One notable feature of the case is the absence of a cutout at the top, purportedly to improve antenna performance. While some users may appreciate this design choice, others may find it lacking. The case also boasts extra ridges around the front glass and rear camera bump out to prevent damage. While this likely enhances phone protection, the increased thickness around the camera may pose compatibility issues with certain chargers, particularly wide flat chargers found in cars like those from Tesla. Smaller chargers where the camera bump out can hang off the edge may offer better compatibility. Overall, the combination of the interior TPU and exterior hard plastic suggests that this case should provide solid protection against drops, although I haven't put that theory to the test myself.

This case fits my Pixel 7 like a glove. It's slim yet highly effective. Since I already have a protective shield on my phone, I don't need an additional plastic cover. Plus, this case is open-front, which is convenient. The flat back allows me to attach any stick-on I like, adding a personalized touch to my phone. Overall, it's exactly what I needed.
