The easy-to-use Tula Explore Baby Carrier offers all the features you and baby need: variable width settings for use with newborns to toddlers (7-45 lbs), adjustable head support, and multiple carry positions including forward-facing and back carry. Each position provides a natural, ergonomic position best for comfortable carrying that promotes healthy hip and spine development for baby. This carrier provides optimal comfort with padded shoulder straps and a padded waistband with webbing that adjusts from 27 - 57 inches.
We just purchased our Tula and we're loving it! Its first use was during a pumpkin festival in the normal front carry position, where our 7 month old was even able to take a cozy nap! The next day it was used during some unexpected cross-country travel, where our 7 month old used it in the forward facing position and loved being able to see everything that was going on! I also ended up using it in the back carry position for my 2.5 year old while walking through the airport itself, and she fell asleep in it and took a nap all the way through our long TSA wait! Parenting win for sure!
Very cute, well-made, but a bit confusing and gets hot

I'm a FTM and still figuring this out. My baby is only 2mos, so we've only used this a few times so far since she prefers a wrap at this point.
However, the few times I have used it, I've liked it. It's very pretty and the quality is nice. The weight is distributed nicely where it doesn't feel like it's pulling or straining too much on your shoulders. I found adjusting it to be very confusing (there are hidden snaps and such-- I imagine for aesthetics), but once it was adjusted to me, putting it on was simple. However, they do advertise that you can put this on yourself and I found it difficult to reach the upper closure and needed assistance. I'm 5'2" so maybe shorter arms influenced that, but something to be mindful of (the Ergo also has the upper closure).
My only issue with it is that it seems a bit hot for baby. When we've used it, she gets pretty sweaty, so it isn't that great for summertime use-- especially with a smaller baby where their heads are more tucked inside.
Did lots of research about baby carriers and ultimately chose this Tula Explore because of fit (I’m 5’ tall), ease of use, and forward-facing option for baby. I was pretty hesitant because of the hefty price but I finally decided to go for it.
Up until today I had been fairly pleased with the purchase- I can get it on by myself after some practice, baby sits comfortably, the print of the fabric is CUTE and there’s a pocket for my stuff.
But then today I tried the forward-facing option with baby for the first time and he LOVED it and I LOVED it! It made it completely worth the price. He got to just chill out and see everything. He was so relaxed. Way to go Tula!
The Explore Carrier has been a life saver. I was overwhelmed with the various carriers on the market, but a friend highly recommended Baby Tula carriers. I have used this carrier since my daughter was a month old. She was a small newborn, and I liked that the carrier did not require an additional insert for newborns. Using the carrier was the only way I was able to calm my newborn and accomplish tasks around the house. Now that she is older, we have been using the front facing feature and she loves the ability to see everything in front of her. I am petite and the carrier fits very comfortably, even as my daughter has grown and become significantly heavier.
I love my Tula carriers ! Perfect for adding a newborn to our family with a toddler. Able to bring big sis to the park on my own or grocery shop with both. The carrier is so soft and cozy and my husband likes it too! I had a cheaper brand that killed my back but Tula is great for lower back support !
