Here's a rundown: - box arrived pretty beat up. a board supporting the box was broken in half. Fortunately none of the stand pieces were damaged. - the parts were absolutely filthy. We opened the box in the garage due to size+weight and were glad we did. We've never seen boxed furniture this dirty. - the finish is very thin and arrived worn on some edges. It doesn't look like it will last. Thanks for the stickers to cover the inevitable holes! (not a joke they send stickers) - the particle board is of the lowest quality. As a result, the doors will sag once you fill the door shelves. the crummy particle board can't possibly hold the weight with some screws. I'm going to stick some felt pads under the door shelf to keep it from sagging further, before it starts scraping the bottom of the stand. They could have designed this differently and made it better without driving up the cost. - several reviewers mentioned issues with the bottom and it is indeed cheaply made. The surfaces contacting the floor are open particle board. I guess it would have cost too much to add the cheap laminate to the bottom. We didn't risk dragging it and causing the cheap material to crumble. We lifted it and carried it into place and it survived (for now). There are positives. Overall it looks like the picture and the features and dimensions are what we wanted. Assembly is easy though there are many pieces due to the extra shelving. It's a shame the quality is so poor. We would have paid a little more for better material and design.
No too hard to assemble alone. Took about 2.5 hours. Some of the laminate covering (I think that’s what it is) was lifting around the edges but I put a little glue on it and fixed it. Somewhat heavy item but I’m a 55 year old woman and had no trouble assembling and moving it by myself. Not the greatest quality but looks nice.
It took forever to put together by myself. I’ve put many furniture together but this was the hardest piece of furniture I’ve put together. It’s really fragile I broke a peace of the bottom part trying to move it around my living room, I have carpet so it kinda got stuck and the pieces came off. The doors are a little odd just the way they open. They also come with this small wooden things you have to insert in the hole (I forgot what they’re called) but some I didn’t put in all the way or wouldn’t go all the way so when it was time to assemble it I wouldn’t go all the way in, on one I pressed hard and it ripped right through the piece which is on the left side. It comes with stickers that are close in color to the tv stand so I placed one on it so you cant even see it unless you get close, which sucks they know something like this could happen and they send you those sticker, I shouldn’t even have to use that but whatever. I think the value is way more than what this thing is worth. If you want to try youre luck with it beware and careful. The packaging was beat up corners were ripped up I was afraid the tv stand would be damaged but it wasnt, they put pieces from other furniture that took the pounding. Over all I placed everything in order and it looks ok, you get what you pay for. I had a much worse tv stand and being my husband is cheap this is what I got and I settled.
The doors on this are odd and if you look closely at the picture you can see what I mean. The hinges for the doors are not on the edge of the door, but halfway down the side. This is because the door opens and has 4 half-shelf type areas instead of 2 deep shelves. This is nice for storing game items (controllers in the door, games inside), but not for lager items (board games). We couldn't get the doors to hang straight, but can't knock off too many points as that could be due to user error. Otherwise, a nicer piece than I thought it would be for a build-it-yourself-thing.
