UPPAbaby Mesa V3 Infant Car Seat - Savannah

Only been using it since February and the sun canopy is already broken, pops out on both sides all the time even after clipping it back in. Love the seat and feel itself but disappointed given the price and my usual love of uppababy products.

We have purchased many Uppababy products (car seats, strollers, accessories), and this is the first that is completely unusable for us. We had a Mesa with our older child and were happy with it. This new edition does not fit our baby at all, but because we bought it before our baby’s birth and had to use it to get home from the hospital, Uppababy has said we have no recourse for returning it. The seat does not fit at the crotch (baby sits high above the buckle), and the baby’s chin is being pressed to the chest where I cannot get a finger between. The virtual fit consultant did not see any issues with the fit, but we strongly disagree and greatly regret purchasing this car seat.

As a new parent, safety and comfort are my top priorities, which is why I chose this car seat based on UPPAbaby’s strong reputation. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. My baby is now 3.5 months old, and despite carefully following all manufacturer instructions for installation and adjustment, I am constantly worried whenever we use this seat. My baby’s head frequently falls forward into an uncomfortable-looking position, and I often notice unusual breathing patterns while in the seat. It keeps me on high alert the entire drive and takes away any sense of confidence or peace of mind I expected from a product at this price point. In my professional life, I work in occupational health and safety, so I am very attentive to proper setup and safe use guidelines. I took every precaution possible to ensure the seat was installed and adjusted correctly, which makes this experience even more frustrating. I kept hoping things would improve as my baby grew, but they haven’t. At this point, I regret purchasing this car seat and will likely need to replace it much sooner than expected. Given the reputation of UPPAbaby, I truly expected a product that felt safer and more supportive for my child.

they put my daughter in a highchair in her carseat and it tipped over. The car seat didnt flip over it landed up and she didnt hurt herself. it did what it ment to be for and protected her.

I bought this for my new baby girl as a first time mom and I am so grateful we did! Having a car seat that fits directly into the stroller (the cruz is what we had) is life changing. Very easy to use and safe. Easy to install the base and they are portable and can be transferred to other cars.

Hello, I purchased this car seat based on recommendations from friends who own the older model. The older version was not available on your website, so I chose the new model thinking it would be even better. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. My baby is now 3 months old and I will need to purchase a different car seat. It is very hard for me to see my baby in this position. The seat is installed correctly, but my baby’s head keeps falling forward and it does not seem comfortable at all. I kept hoping that as my baby grows, the position would improve, but it has not. Almost every time we use it, my baby ends up vomiting, which I believe is related to the seating position. Additionally, removing the seat is quite complicated, as you have to press the button in the back, which is not very practical. I am truly disappointed and regret the money spent on this product.

Incredibly hard to tighten and loosen, with a newborn it makes it double stressful. Very disappointed, we had the model from 2018 before this and it was amazing but went out of date . Would return if we could.

Dads, while we get annoyed when our wives show us every little thing, and sure, we'll remember our fantasy lineups better than half the clothes they buy, we'd better pay attention to the car seats—because you know it won't be them installing them. We started with a Nuna model, and it drove me nuts. That stabilizer leg? Pointless. Wobbly as could be. Swapped it for this, and wow—night and day. Installation was a breeze, rock-solid stability, no stress. Highly recommend this one, 100%.

I already had an infant car seat that I (thought I) loved, but apparently I had no idea what I was missing out on! UPPABaby makes a premium product all around. Installing the car seat was a breeze, and all the standard features of an infant seat (sun canopy, carrying handle, buckles, etc) all feel sturdy, well-made, and downright luxurious. No flimsy car seat over here! My husband even commented on how fancy the car seat felt. The fabric is ultra-soft, the seat is plush and seemingly comfortable, and all the plastic parts feel solid and durable. I am obsessed that this can be used without a base -- my husband and I love to travel with the baby, and it's incredible having a seat that can quickly and easily pop into an Uber, our friend's car, the caretaker's car, etc. This seat is perfect for our low-maintenance travel-light mindset! The ultimate test, though, is my son's comfort. He seems to LOVE this seat. He just babbles away as content as a clam in the backseat. I even caught him rubbing his hands back and forth on the fabric because it felt so good to the touch -- cute! It's only been a few weeks since we've had the seat, but I've yet to find something I don't like. I'm officially an UPPABaby convert.

I enjoy having breathable fabrics and a reliable sun canopy, especially since we live in a hotter climate. With two older kiddos, we are outside a lot and also have lots of trips in the car! The breathable fabric and sun canopy are what I love most! I appreciate having an easy installation for car seats. When the instructions are clearly marked and easy to handle parts, it makes switching between cars a simple fix! I also appreciate the side impact protection pieces around the baby's head.

Appearance: Mesa V3 is absolutely sleek in its appearance having changed the bright blue seatbelt strap holder, and other parts to an amazing charcoal. Comfort: The cushion to this seat is definitely thicker and appears to be much more comfortable for my little one than on his Mesa V2. New features: The canopy on the Mesa V3 is brilliant. My baby takes car seat naps when on the go and on Sundays while at church, and this canopy works perfectly providing great coverage but also being breathable. The canopy is long enough that baby can't see out but not too long that my little wiggle worm can kick it with his feet. The magnetic window at the top is so convenient to be able to peak in without the baby knowing. The second new feature that I love, are the magnetic strap holders. These make it easier to get baby into the car seat without them getting caught in the straps. Installation: This car seat was so easy to install into our van. I also loved that it worked in our Mesa V2 base and in our Vista stroller from 2015 with no additional adapters needed. Honestly, from the above review it it's hard to pick out one favorite thing about this car seat! I'd say that my favorite things are: the new canopy, the magnetic strap holders, and the fact that it works with my other Uppababy gear with no additional adapters needed! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Getting to try out the UPPAbaby Mesa V3 car seat from the Stellar Product Testing Panel was a real treat. I have never had the chance to try anything from UPPAbaby so I had no real expectations. I was really pleasantly surprised. I wish I got to try this out sooner. My youngest (of 4) is 7 months old, so there was no need for me to use the newborn insert seat that came with the Mesa V3. I thought that that seat was an amazing addition and if I have another baby I will definitely use that! Let's talk about over all look first. When I pulled it out the box it was immediately striking. That light grey color is beautiful and fresh looking. First thought after physically taking it out of the box was how light weight it is! That's a huge bonus already! I spent a good amount of time just fiddling with everything, testing out all the buttons and functions. The canopy was probably my favorite thing. It extends really nicely out and has an extra extension making it almost full overage! My baby is 28 inches long so a newborn-5 month old will probably be completely covered! It also has a little peekaboo window which I think is great! Next, the 5 point harness. No one likes a difficult clip that you can't use one handed. The bottom buckle area is super easy to clip and unclip one handed with ease! There are also magnetic sides that hold the clips open for when you put baby in the seat, genius!! Now we talk about the base. What I loved mostly is the buttons that let you extract the ISO fix clips easily. They clicked really easily into my car and it was instantly snug. Very simple and straight forward, as well as releasing it from my car. The only thing that I'd say is that sometimes I felt like the lever that you need to pull to release the car seat from the base was a little too low for me, causing me to take an extra minute or two to properly grab it so that I could lift the car seat off. Overall, I really do like this car seat and it will be used in my husbands car. Just for reference, my baby boy is 7 months old, around 28+in long and weighing 20+lb. He fit in very comfortably. I would love to give the UPPAbaby Mesa V3 a 5 star but I have given it a 4 star rating due to the fact that I don't have the wheels attachment to try it out to its full capabilities.

I have only used one other infant carrier seat and I wish I had the Mesa V3 sooner. I love how light but sturdy it feels. The cushioning and infant body support is perfect and makes me feel like my baby is very secure. The extra coverage and breezy fabric of the canopy is awesome. It actually covers your baby!! My absolute favorite part of this car seat is the base. It was ridiculously easy to install. So intuitive. And the visual color change to ensure you have the right fit is beyond helpful. No more fighting the straps and pulling for your life. Just pushing the buttons for the latch straps and then a firm press down on the base and "click" it's in. My only con so far is how difficult it is to get the fabric back on the car seat after washing. Very very difficult.

I believed I would not have fully appreciated the features this car seat has if I hadn't been using one that doesn't. I wish I had this car seat when my son was an infant Becuase the infant insert is SO supportive. My son had a little torticollis early on and I would always stress about his head, neck, and torso position. I wouldn't have to with this insert. Even without the newborn insert, the head cushion is so supportive his head or torso is never out of alignment. This is huge for me as an occupational therapist Becuase positioning is crucial. Speaking of headrest, the sliding adjuster for height is maybe the most magical feature of this seat. It's so easy to glide up and down instead of having to disassemble and reassemble the straps when your baby grows, and also is a perfect fit other height not 4 preset height options. I love that the seat buckle has cushion to not only add comfort but keeps it upright so you can out your baby in the seat and not have to constantly dig to find the bottom buckle under their bottom. The neck cushions are the perfect size to add cushion without being cumbersome and the fact they are standard is amazing. The material is so soft and luxurious and feels extremely high quality. I love the color I received personally. The canopy? WOW. it had spf 50 throughout the whole material, has a peekaboo mesh area for either airflow or to keep an eye on your baby AND has a magnetic closure to keep it upright or down. The canopy itself is already longer than other ones I've used and then it even has an extender option you can tuck or untuck as needed. This is hands down my top two favorite features besides the padded gliding headrest, and what a game changer. There is absolutely no way the sun would ever get in their face regardless of position. The base release is lower on the back of the seat than other brands which actually makes a huge difference: I don't have to fight to fit my hand in between the front seat and the car seat to unlatch Becuase it's in the curve space of the seat. There are magnetic holders to keep the seatbelts out of the way for unloading/loading. And finally, the base itself is SO easy to install, both with the hooks or seatbelt threading option. Not only is it easy to install, it has a clearly defined either red or green color to indicate if it's in place. No need to read a bubble indicator, or check an arrow. It's either a clear yes or no. It is heavier than my other car seats I've tried, but with all the features it has no wonder. The only thing I struggled with is the seatbelt tightener; it was hard to pull but I have a hard time with my other one too. This one has a clip at the end to hook in place so that it stays out of the way which is another great feature, and a loop at the end for pulling. I cannot say enough just how incredible this car seat is, in comparisons to cheaper ones I've tried before. I'm thankful for cheaper options but seeing this quality, it's made me rethink how I view big baby items like this
