Waste of Money

So disappointing… the food dye for the chocolate is water based, when it needs to be oil based. That’s pretty basic for melting chocolate - like… melting chocolate 101. Water based food coloring immediately hardens the chocolate and makes it unusable. I don’t understand how they did this wrong. Did nobody check? Now I have disappointed kids and naked cake pops.

Cute Strawberry Cake Pops

This kit was perfect for a little Valentine’s gift. It made eight cake pops and had more than enough chocolate and sprinkles left over! (I threw away probably half of the chocolate left over) I also recommend making the box into a cake pop stand by poking holes into it. Overall really fun and directions were straight forward.

Oil Based Food Dye With Chocolate Is a NO

Do NOT buy this kit! Absolutely terrible. The directions are not clear at all and don’t tell you when to use the frosting. But worse, the oil-based red dye clumps up your chocolate after you’ve melted it! Then you try to melt again and it burns. I threw it all away. Huge waste of money and time

I would not recommend this is you are used to home-made cake pops or cake pops that are amazingly delicious. This was a fun project for my young girls to make but the outcome of flavor was not ideal.
