Got this product because it was supposed to be "gentle". Tiny bumps started to appear on my face after a couple of days but I thought nothing of it since, again, "gentle". Two weeks later it's a full on inflamed rash with tiny bumps all over my face, my face was burning and hot to the touch. I have never had acne but I previously had body rosacea.. this product flared my rosacea. Thought I was crazy and came to the 1 star reviews, turns out I am not crazy.

So glad I bought this. My teen struggles with acne and sensitive skin and I do as well and this face wash has helped clear her face and calm it. It does a good job removing makeup and over all impressed. I docked a star because I wish it was more moisturizing. It doesn't make your face feel tight but it doesn't mositurize either so you do need to apply a moisturizer after which is something we are still trying to find. a good acne friendly true mositurizer is hard. The vanicream face lotion is not good, burns upon application which is odd bc their face wash is very nice and gentle.

This face washed CHANGED MY LIFE. Anyone with sensitive or reactive skin should try this cleanser if you’re dealing with breakouts or irritation. I suddenly began to have acne after having clear skin my whole life and I was completely panicked. From clear skin to 15+ pimples within 2 months I thought I was doomed. A friend who has dealt with acne recommended this face wash as a way to simplify my routine as I was trying harsher cleansers and active ingredients like salicylic acid to try to get rid of the acne. I stopped using all of that and just focused on cleansing and hydrating. I used this in combination with the Kiehl’s moisturizer and my acne cleared up in three weeks. If you have sensitive skin, this is a MUST! Couldn’t be happier with my results and it’s been 6 months now and my skin is still clear! For the summer I switched to the Laniege water bank moisturizer since the kiehls was too heavy for humid weather.
