My dermatologist advised me to use Vaseline on a biopsy site. This should be sealed if I am advised to use it on an open wound! Vaseline company is most likely aware that dermatologists recommend this after procedures. So why isn’t this product safety sealed?

It works really well to put on your lips too. I have put it on my face and it didn't make me brake out with acne.It's also nice that it's in a tub so you can scoop out as much as you need with your finger.

As other reviews have stated, this product does not come with a safety seal, meaning anyone shopping for this in-person where it is sold can open and use the product. (I recently purchased a tub as part of a pick-up order at a large retail store, only to find when I got home that the product had been used.) It's concerning that something like this could be so easily tampered with or used by shoppers. I'm all for not wasting plastic, but not at the expense of foregoing basic sanitary practices.

I have been using Vaseline petroleum jelly since I was 13. I’m almost 56 and will never give it up. I use it on my feet to moisturize and after showering. I carry one in my bag and in my desk. At times, in my car. Needless to say, I love Vaseline.

The product is fine. However, it is concerning that the product comes without safety seal. You can see customers opening the product, and then they put it back on the shelf. This is really unsanitary. A safety seal would reduce any type of cross contamination.

If you struggle with dry hands in the winter this is a great solution. You can use this on kiddos who lick their lips/faces too much to keep their skin from drying out and getting irritated.

I just received this (via shipping, as it wasn't available in stores). Everybody knows Vaseline, so my review is more about the packaging. When I opened it, there is NO tamper-proof seal on the container. This is a product we use on our skin & while it doesn't LOOK like there have been any fingers or whatever touching the smooth top layer, it's still concerning to think about using this when I don't know if it's been opened by others!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter suffers from some undiagnosed skin problem. Her hands are so dry, cracking, sore, and red. She's been to a dermatologist for months and tried several different steroids. Had a biopsy done and still cannot determine what it is. I decided to try Vaseline rather than continue with harmful steroid creams. The Vaseline has helped more than anything. Her sores are not healed completely but they are in the healing process. She sees a specialist in February but by then Vaseline may have it completely cleared up.
