Sheer, non-sticky mineral SPF (from non-nano zinc oxide) defends against UVA, UVB, and blue light. But unlike most body sunscreens, you won’t even know it’s there.

Q: Can I put this on my face? And does it pill? Does it work well under makeup?
submitted by Layla - 6 months ago
A: Hi there! Our Total Package Body Lotion is specially formulated for use on the body. It features an occlusive ingredient, cupuaçu butter, which may clog pores if applied to the face. For facial sun protection, we recommend our Guards Up Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 35, designed specifically for daily facial wear. We hope this helps! Xx, Team Versed

I wanted something I could use everyday as I take walking breaks at work and like to go outside. I knew SPF body lotion existed, so I thought I'd give this one a try. I'm light skinned and this left a white cast on me, though not very noticeable. But the texture of it is awful. If you're familiar with thick mineral sunscreens, you know the texture. And it's because a literal film is on top of your skin. I will use this when I go for long fitness walks and come home to shower after, but I can't use this for everyday use, which is exactly what an SPF body lotion is for. If I wanted a straight-up mineral sunscreen, that is what I would have bought.
Love it

This is so good! It’s so light but offers incredible coverage from the sun. I haven’t come across another body sunscreen that is as light as this.
Too much white cast

I wish I had read more reviews before I bought this. I liked the idea of a moisturizing body lotion with spf included, and I’m assuming the spf does what it’s supposed to, but the body lotion sure doesn’t. It has basically no moisturizing effect (I think my skin actually looks more dehydrated) and leaves a chalky white cast (probably from the mineral sunscreen, but I have other mineral sunscreens that don’t do this, so it is possible to achieve). I’ll give it an extra star for being fragrance free and non-irritating. Unless your skin isn’t dry at all, skip this product.
Not a good product for everyday use

Tried to be two products in one and doesn’t do either very well. As a body lotion it’s not very moisturizing at all, and the mineral spf properties leave a white almost chalky film on your skin. As a sunscreen it’s not very comfortable and take a while to absorb or even to rub in. I will say that as a mineral sunscreen it does its job decently and isn’t as sticky/ greasy or residue-y as some other mineral sunscreens but it does still leave a white/ purple cast and if you’re wanting hydration you’ll have to layer it on top of a better body lotion. Beware the zinc in it will mark clothing, especially dark clothing and is difficult to remove. And if I’m going to work that hard to use a product that should be easy to use, I’ll pass.
Hmmmmm!

I love this sunscreen! It is formulated with non-nano zinc oxide which has shown to be the least harmful to marine life as far as sunscreen ingredients go. So many sunscreens claim to be "reef safe" but all they really mean is "oxybenzone free" which is great and all, but misleading. Especially since almost all common sunscreen ingredients are not reef safe (including most zinc if it is in nano form). All of the people leaving negative reviews dislike the feel and the white cast of this sunscreen, but it is AMAZING as far as nan-nano zinc sunscreens go. The white cast goes away if you give it time to soak in a little (I am white, so this is most likely a bigger problem for darker skin folks), and it is not as greasy or gross as many over-the-counter chemical or physical sunscreens go. Give this a try if you're concerned for how sunscreen ingredients affect marine life!

I got this about a month ago and have used it daily for body spf. It’s nice they offer a body spf but this does not spread evenly and leaves white-cast. Will not repurchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited about trying out VERSED Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30, but sadly, it fell short of my expectations. It brought it with me on vacation, but instead of a radiant glow, I ended up looking dull and oddly purple. I hated it! Clearly, it wasn't designed with all skin tones in mind. On the bright side, it's water-resistant and provides excellent protection. A single application was enough for my entire day under the scorching Bahamian sun in mid July - and we all know how intense that can be! Surprisingly, I didn't get sunburned during the entire trip, which is a plus for me. So, while it's a winner in terms of sun protection, it leaves much to be desired when it comes to achieving a glowing complexion. If you're of color, I do not recommend it. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a professional makeup artist in the entertainment industry, I love testing out new products that I can use myself as well as use in my kit on set and recommend to my clients. The VERSED Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30 is the perfect blend between a moisturizer and a sunscreen. It actually makes me use it way more than a product that would only do one thing. I feel most of us tend to be vigilant about wearing sunscreen on our faces, but forget or skip the rest of our body unless we specifically go to the beach or pool. And I don't know about everyone else, but I typically just apply some moisturizer after a shower or maybe a quick little bit on my elbows and legs before going to bed. The Versed Body Lotion is so incredibly convenient because it combines both the sunscreen and moisturizer into one product applied in one quick step. I have noticed that I have not skipped a single day of application on my arms, legs and neck since I have received the product, and I definitely plan on purchasing it again (very soon since I am almost out!). Versed is truly cruelty-free. They don't test finished products or ingredients on animals, and neither do their suppliers or any third-parties. They also don't sell their products where animal testing is required by law. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Versed makes some of my favorite, affordable and sustainable products out there. The ingredients are usually effective and at a price point that makes sense to recommend to a wide spectrum of clients. My first impression of this body moisturizer was the long list of hydrating ingredients were just waiting to sooth my dry skin. After showering and exfoliating, a smear of the moisturizer glided easily onto my first leg. As I worked the product in, the formula quickly became dry and difficult to smooth. The high zinc content makes me feel like this product would be better suited as a facial daily protectant, and not in a daily body moisturizer. With typical non-micronized zinc products, a white cast is left on the surface of the skin providing physical protection from the damaging effects of UVA and UVB rays. As someone who applies a body sunscreen when needed, I do not see myself using this product past required application. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

This product feels more like a moisturizing sunscreen than a lotion. As someone with dark skin this leaves no visible white cast unless you use a microscope🤣. Goes on white and fades clear

The blend of nourishing ingredients, like grapeseed oil and cupuacu butter leaves my skin feeling baby-soft and oh-so-smooth. I swear, it's like a little miracle in a tube. Whether it's your legs, arms, or any other part of your body, this lotion embraces it all and quenches every inch of dryness.Oh, did I mention the glow? Yes, this little gem leaves behind a subtle, radiant sheen that makes your skin look like it's been kissed by the sun itself. It's the kind of natural radiance that you can't help but show off, strutting with confidence as you leave a trail of shimmering awesomeness in your wake.I've also got to give VERSED props for their commitment to clean beauty. This lotion is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without any harsh ingredients. It's like a gentle hug for your skin, minus any of the bad stuff. You can feel good about what you're putting on your body, knowing that VERSED has your back.In conclusion, the VERSED Total Package Body Lotion SPF 30 has become my secret weapon for achieving soft, hydrated, and sun-protected skin. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi friends! My name is Ariel and I have over 10+ years of experience in the beauty industry and I am currently a Cosmetology Student at The Aveda Institute. I have always been intrigued by skincare, especially clean skin care. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to try out the Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30 by Versed.Versed has easily become one of my favorite and most affordable skin care brands. I wasn’t so sure about the formula of this lotion and I thought it would be sticky like similar ones that I have tried in the past. It actually wasn’t. This is the first one that I have tried and loved. I think the consistency of this lotion is perfect! It’s not sticky at all. It’s very light weight and hydrating. The smell is also a plus as well. It’s not to over powering and it smells so clean. It’s also water resistant, which is a pro for me since I love water during the summer. When you add SPF in lotion you have got yourself a winner, without a doubt. SPF is extremely important and you should wear it everyday, regardless of the season. I will definitely repurchase this product. It’s a staple for me now!**This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.** **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so grateful for the opportunity to try this VERSED Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30. What I found unique about this lotion was that there was more to meet the eye. This lotion was soothing and moisturizing when applied to my body before I got some sun. There is one particular ingredient that captivated me which was the cupuacu butter. This lotion glided through my skin and was such a refreshing feeling. The best time to use this particular lotion is during the day since there is spf 30. To be more specific use this 15 minute before sun exposure. I use it right before tanning and my skin feels so soft and not burnt. What I love most about this lotion is the price point. It is so affordable and accessible. I highly recommend trying it out. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been loving Versed for their skincare so I was excited to try the Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30 but it definitely wasn’t as I expected and I thought I was going to love it more than I did. First off, I have to give it up for the packaging, as always, I’m a fan of upside tubing and bright aesthetic packaging to reduce product waste and make the bathroom look pretty but it’s not always a must have if the formula doesn't play well with me. The formula is a little too dry for me - like a dry wine if that makes sense which is weird because it does contain some nourishing and deeply hydrating butters. It feels nice going on but after it’s absorbed it starts to feel like there’s a residue on the skin. I definitely think the formula could improve on providing hydration/moisturizing benefits - especially because it’s made for the body. As a brown skin lady, I can still see some white cast - it’s noticeable enough on my skin but on fairer skin it might not show up. It lights enough that if you apply this lotion everywhere, it’ll look normal but if you miss some spots get ready to look uneven toned. Applying another body lotion or moisturizer on top might disrupt the amount of SPF as well so that’s another downfall for me. There’s no fragrance to this lotion which is great for sensitive skin girlies. I do feel like you get a good amount of product for the size/value and it’s a good beach tote travel size - it won’t take up much room. Overall, this is not a product I’d honestly recommend but I love Versed and hope they can improve the formula on this one! I was happy to have the opportunity to learn about and try out the Total Package Replenishing Body Lotion Mineral SPF 30 by Versed. Versed is a great option for skincare that is affordable and clean. I love their packaging and product range. I was excited to try this sunscreen that doubles as a moisturizing body lotion. This lotion feels super lightweight and hydrating on the skin. It doesn’t have a strong scent which is nice and it is safe for sensitive skin. It also doesn’t feel heavy or sticky like some other sunscreen products. This is a great product because in addition to spf it contains super nourishing cupuacu butter for smooth, hydrated, and healthy skin. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Versed is one of my favorite affordable skincare brands and their products never fail to impress me. I have tried many sunscreen lotions in the past and have been disappointed with them because of how they leave my skin feeling after application. This one, however, left me quite impressed. It’s a very rich but lightweight formula that is easy to massage into the skin and it soaks in beautifully. It leaves the skin feeling smooth, glowing and hydrated. It doesn’t leave a white cast, it’s not sticky or heavy on the skin. It’s easy to reapply throughout the day without having the feel of product buildup on the skin. Great for all skin types. As a licensed esthetician and beauty expert, I remind everyone the importance of wearing sunscreen but not just on your face, any exposed skin, needs protection and this product is a great one to try. **This review was created through an educational promotional event hosted between the brand and beauty experts.**
