Q: Is this humidifier really loud? I am looking for one for my newborn baby. Also is the night light too bright?

However, you can place this on the opposite side of the room from your newborn and that will reduce the light near them as they sleep if you find it is too bright. Q: Does this unit contain teflon, ppe or any other such poisonous substances? I need a vaporizer for my bird, but they can easily be poisoned from such substances.

Q: Is there supposed to be black particles in the water each use? I bought two of these and they both have to have the water changed multiple times per day.

The reason the minerals turn black is because they have passed through the electrodes and vaporized. We’ve all been very sick, so I was excited to get home to use it and I’ve tried every troubleshooting that they have given and it’s not blowing steam it’s not helping anybody I can’t even tell that I have the liquid Vicks in there to evaporate. The only thing I did notice was it got insanely hot the plug the entire system. So hot that you couldn’t even touch it I had to unplug it and let it sit for a while. Doesn’t seem normal and though it’s not expensive it’s a waste of money. So disappointed.

I dont think I would recommend this product as everytime I plugged it into the outlet, it would blow the circuit in the room so I wasnt able to use it. I thought about using an extension cord to another room but I didnt want to risk a fire so I returned it and purchased a different kind. Even though I had a less than positive experience with this product, I wouldnt hesitate to purchase other products by this brand as I have used many of their other products and they were great.

I wasn’t sure how well it would work because I have always used a cool mist humidifier when my daughter was sick, but she has had a sinus infection this last week and this helped SO much! When I first plugged it in there was no steam, then I added a tiny bit of salt and within a minute it was going good. I left it on for a few hours and it really steamed up the room! She didn’t cough or wake up once! I am amazed! I have used it the last 3 nights and she is feeling so much better! The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because I wish it had an on and off switch! I don’t like that in order to turn it off I have to just unplug it. Also, I would like to be able to turn off the night light because it’s better to sleep in complete darkness and with this the light is always on, so an on and off switch for the night light would definitely improve this product. Aside from that, I am a big fan of this and will definitely be using this from now on when anyone in my house is sick!

I did have to add several pinches of salt to get it to actually make steam, but once I got it going, it worked really well, adding a lot of moisture to the air.

Worst humidifier ever. Added salt to get some steam and it just leaked everywhere. I can’t use it without a towel under it. Absolute trash. It would be more useful if it were on fire. Hot garbage. Don’t waste your money.

The nightlight is great for him as well so it's not pitch black in his room and helps calm him for sleep, but it's not so bright that it will keep him up. Just a nice glow!
