Visitor in Blackwood Grove Board Game

Visitor in Blackwood Grove Board Game - image 1 of 5

About this item

Highlights

  • An '80s alien adventure in the woods
  • Play as the alien Visitor, the Kid, or the Agents
  • The Visitor invents a new mystery to solve each game
  • Glow in the dark box
  • 5 to 15 minutes to play, 3 to 6 players
A mysterious Visitor has crashed in Blackwood Grove, and the kid is the only one watching. Federal agents hunt down the signal, but no one can get near the craft due to its impassable forcefield. Why can some objects pass through the forcefield, but others are repelled?

What do a Waterfall, a Piano, and a Microphone have in common? How are they unlike a Flower, a Brick, and a Chair? The Visitor creates a secret rule, like "Things that make noise," and all other players race to crack the code by experimenting with which objects pass through the forcefield. If the Kid solves it first, she saves the Visitor and they both win. If an Agent solves it first, everyone else loses.

Visitor in Blackwood Grove is a great little deduction game. One player plays an alien that creates a rule like "things with 4 legs" or "things that are blue". The options are endless. Players are working to figure out the secret rule by submitting cards with images on them and getting feedback from...see moreof the reviewer's review

Fun game, gorgeous art, clever design! I've enjoyed playing Visitor with my young cousins, boyfriend, and adult friends too. Adjustable difficulty based on your imagination, quick to learn and play (ideal for my short attention span).

This is a fun game, very absorbing and imaginative. I'm not a big game person, but I really enjoyed it. It's the kind of game that works for a lot of different kinds of players -- challenging enough to hold your interest but accessible at a lot of different levels. Kids would probably be very good a...see moreof the reviewer's review

I got this game from kickstarter at the beginning of the year, and my family loves it. My mother in law keeps asking for me to bring it over. My gaming group, also, really likes this game. If you are a fan of puzzles/riddles, this is a definite purchase.

What a fun game for the whole family- especially on those rainy days! my 10-and 12-year-olds love it, and my youngest (age 6) has been enjoying it, too. It's been a huge help in teaching her new words and concepts while having fun with her brothers! I cannot recommend this game enough!!

I love this game! I backed in on Kickstarter, so I've had it for several weeks now. It's artwork and design are amazing, and it's a really fun game to play, for me and my teenage and preteen kids.
