A: It is not completely waterproof & not meant to be used under running shower. It can be used on wet hair though.

I didn’t receive the same product that is shown in the photo online. The photo shows flat spikes while the one I received has more pointed/cone shaped spikes. Have not tested it out yet, but because of this I anticipate it to feel more sharp on my scalp.

The quality of the scalp massager is great. I love the two modes; light and intense massage. I have thick 3a/3b curls, and the prongs aren’t long enough to reach my scalp. The prongs do bend, so it doesn’t feel efficient to massage my scalp. It requires a tiny screw driver to applicate the batteries. The screws might get rusty (causing it to be difficult to open the battery port again) if you don’t apply the backing firmly. They do give instructions on how to apply firmly.

This is a wonderful little gadget! My scalp feels tantalizing after use. I use it everyday to help stimulate hair growth. For those that say it doesn’t work, they might not have tried replacing the batteries. I thought mine had broke after a few uses in the shower, but after changing out the batteries it’s just like new. Also, be sure the battery compartment is screwed securely. I love it so much, I bought another as a gift!

While I don’t use this in the shower, I have been massaging my scalp with this product twice per day for a little over a month and have noticed such a big difference! I can definitely tell I’m getting new hair growth. My only issue is that sometimes it can be a little loud, but otherwise it’s very effective and relaxing.

There is no seal on the battery compartment of this item making it not waterproof in any way. The seal between the brush 'teeth' and said compartment is less than 1/16" wide and is not consistent in that dimension nor is it tight. Additionally, the housing for the motor, on/off switch, and connections to the battery have a similarly small and loose seal. The screws holding these pieces together have plastic washers, but they are larger than the screws and would allows for moisture to seep in. There is also no plastic washer on the battery casing cover. Over time water will enter through these small spaces and corrode the internal parts. I decided to return this item which was very easy and quick on Target.com.

LOVE this thing! I feels sooo good on the scalp omg. BUT it is NOT water proof. I used my first one when I was washing my hair and it stopped working. Took the battery cover off and the inside was wet. I got another one and now I use it after oiling my scalp and it’s perfect for that

This is an amazing massager. I finally figured out that I didn’t need to move it in a circular motion to get results. When I did move it in a circular motion, my hair was tangled. What I found was that placing the massager on the proper points on my scalp provided the best massage and the product did the job.

Love this massager. Just used it for the first time, and it felt so good to use and after the shower my scalp has never felt better, my hair never softer! I do have a buzz cut so I can’t talk to any tangling because of this product. I find the vibrations rather harsh on my scalp, so I prefer to just use it without the battery in it. It also helps you conserve shampoo, I used way too much this first time, really helps you lather!
