  • A: No you do not need smart cast as I believe it leaves vunlerabilites in your devices unless you have router to device security. You can easily play any of the apps just by logging in with your username

I can stream content such as Amazon Prime and Plex to watch movies and TV with okay sound and a good picture. The blacks and clarity are much better than my old TV, making for a better experience. The TV OS/firmware was updated this past week which improved the responsiveness and usability of the interface.

No matter what we try it won’t connect to my son’s WiFi. Phones, iPads, laptops all connect, but this tv won’t. He doesn’t have a car, so he is stuck with it.
