Q: Is smart cast needed in or the make the streaming services work or is it separate? I ask because I already have Apple TV and Roku devices.
A: No you do not need smart cast as I believe it leaves vunlerabilites in your devices unless you have router to device security. You can easily play any of the apps just by logging in with your username
submitted byCyber Taught - 3 months agoA: It has Apple iplay so if you'd like to cast you are able. I do not suggest it and it is not necessary with this TV. They have every app I've wanted, I would connect your phone wired for safety

External streaming devices such as Apple TV and Roku can also be attached to an open HDMI input for use.

submitted byGreen Bean Enthusiast - 2 years agoA: This TV uses our SmartCast Platform which offers a host of built in apps, as well as support for Google's Chromecast, Apple's AirPlay 2, and voice support for SIRI, Google Home, and Alexa. You are not able to manually download additional apps, however new apps are added to the platform often. If you find there is an app you want to watch that is not on SmartCast you may be able to cast it using Chromecast or Apple AirPlay from your phone or mobile device.

Q: I'm new to this kind of tv. Do I need some thing else to be able to hear the volume on this tv? Or can you hear the volume as it is?
A: The TV does have speakers inside of the housing on the back of the TV. That way the audio is able to reflect from the wall or cabinet behind the TV, to the user. Sound bars are a great way to get more audio and ways to enjoy the experience.
