Vornado - 660 Large Air Circulator - image 1 of 4

about this item

Born of Vornado's Whole Room Air Circulator heritage, the 660 represents the next generation of Vornado circulation. The restyled exterior features dramatic gloss and matte finishes, sleek lines, and a slightly smaller footprint than Vornado's full-size circulators. The 660 fluidly tilts between horizontal and vertical airflow positions along a chrome glide. Maintaining the 660 is simple with a detachable grill that provides easy access to the blades for cleaning. The 660 features a 5-year satisfaction guarantee and is supported by Vornado's industry-leading consumer service team.

It did not work for us. Even with AC on, the room was not getting cold.

The fan is great when working. (I even bought a second bigger model) Its powerful and when you know how to position the fan to get the best air flow it turns a hot, humid room into a comfortable one in Texas Heat. BUT, there's a downside to this though. I owned this fan a little over a year and it s...see moreof the reviewer's review

Just ordered this large fan, works amazingly too well, I can feel the breeze now and it helps circulate the A/C around the large family room. Savings in AC are going to be great, i noticed my A/C unit isn't on all the time anymore. Living in NYC with A/C window units gets expensive and the good circ...see moreof the reviewer's review

I use these as basic fans (not so much as air circulators), because they are more powerful than the average fan, having a fourth (turbo) setting, and this is effective for direct air flow within 6 feet (whereas it feels more like an oscillating fan from farther away). I like the size of the 660, whi...see moreof the reviewer's review

This is probably the Most Attractive of all my Vornado fans. I love how modern it is in design and function. All it needs now it a remote control and it would really be perfect!see moreof the reviewer's review

QUIET: I have lots of smaller Vornado fans/ciruclators. I think they are the most effective air movers I've seen, ever. The old ones had a continuous adjustment (like a radio dial) so you can adjust in tiny increments. The newer ones have specific settings, which means if you need quiet you can't ha...see moreof the reviewer's review

We have a barn on our property which is now served by 2 Vornado fans. One is at least 10 years old and then we just bought this 660 model. This past weekend they worked together to provide air circulation in the barn for a family gathering. Both were quiet and efficient. No negatives.see moreof the reviewer's review

Exit grid could act more like turning vanes to eliminate swirl. Turning vanes would improve efficiency. Your picture of the helical flow should be straight line flow for advertising. Look at computer fans to get ideas for making your ducted fan quieter. They do things with blade shape and breaking u...see moreof the reviewer's review
