My 2 yr old daughter loved playing with the train. Keep her attention for awhile. The product has been provided by VTech/LeapFrog free of charge so I could experience it with my family; however, the thoughts and opinions are all my own
This toy was neat and my two-year old son enjoyed moving the gears around and playing with the animals. However, I had to return it after two days because the train cars wouldn’t stay connected and several of the gears stopped turning. My son was getting frustrated with the train and it was no longer bringing him joy.
We received this as a Birthday gift for my one year old. The toy is a little much for his age, so we decided to store most of the gears away until he is a little older. I don't see the reason for all the loose gears , it would be just as educational with less loose components- for this reason it's not my favorite "educational" Vtech toy. However I foresee us keeping this toy around for a while, I do appreciate toys that my child can grow with.
I bought this for a 1yr old and he seemed very interested in it. My 2yr old has similar toys from Vtech and she plays with them all the time. She’s always taking off and putting the gears back on and changing the music. This is a good buy and will interest them for awhile.
Please stop buying these awful toys as gifts. If you read the reviews from actual parents, kids get bored of this after 5 minutes. It doesn't teach anyone anything. It's loud and annoying. There are a million parts. It's cheap, plastic junk. After just about chainsawing this monstrosity our of the box, I just sat there looking in disgust at it. No inventiveness went into designing this. They just threw a bunch of garbage together. Buy books or toys that require children to use their imagination. This is nonsense.
