With a high-resolution screen, the VTech VM3252-2 2.8" Digital Video Baby Monitor with 2 Cameras lets you see all the fun baby's having, from any room in the house. It's easy to adjust the camera angle so you can place either camera anywhere in the nursery or play room and get the best view on the parent unit's 2.8-inch color LCD. Baby need you? Let them know you're on your way with the two-way, talk-back intercom. Then help your little one get extra comfy with the soothing sounds and lullabies that play right from the baby unit.
The dual-camera VM3252-2 baby monitor makes it easy to check in, even during nap time. Auto night vision gives you a clear view of the crib or toddler bed without disturbing your little ones' sleep. Plus, a built-in temperature sensor lets you know if it's getting too hot or too cold with an alert on the parent unit.
This worked just ok for the first 5 months, noticed that the battery life definitely didn't last long from the get go and now on the 6th month of using it, it just flat out stopped working. The monitor is completely dead. Hasn't even lasted a full year. NOT WORTH IT.
We have been using this monitor for the last 9 and a half months. I liked it in the beginning. Lately, the battery has become even worse. The charge does not hold at all and today it won’t even turn on. No wonder it was so cheap on Black Friday. I was expecting it to work better for a few more months.
When I first got the monitor I loved it. Worked all around the house and outside. The night vision is great. After about only 4 months the battery life continued to decrease to the point where it now only holds charge for about 5-10 minutes when it initially held charge for a few hours. Sometimes it will not turn on at all and I need to remove the battery and plug it back in in order for it to work. There is no mute of the sound and the lowest sound is a bit too loud. I have 2 cameras and I like the ability to switch back and forth but when I sleep, I can only hear whichever camera I left the monitor last on. I wish that if my other child made sound that the parent unit would still notify me or that both pictures/sounds can be seen at once on the screen. The worst part of this monitor is by far the useless battery.
Been using it for 10 months. It does not hold a charge. Unplugged it when it was fully charged and less than 10 minutes later it said battery low. Volume doesn’t go down as much as I’d like. I like the music that I can play on this for the baby but on the lowest volume setting it is loud on my end.
I am very disappointed with this monitor. We’ve been using it for 6 months and it’s been inconsistent, at best. Tonight it won’t turn on at all.
Besides the fact that it currently isn’t working, there are many features that it doesn’t have that our old monitor did have.
1. This monitor will only allow you to change the volume to three different levels. Our old monitor could be turned down extra low.
2. This monitor’s noise sensitivity can’t be adjusted as precisely as our old monitor.
3. This monitor beeps loudly everytime it is turned off and turned on. To make it even more annoying, every time it is plugged into the charger it automatically turns on....which of course makes a super loud beep.
4. This monitor is supposed to have night vision, but as far as i can tell, it does not.
I miss my old monitor....we used it 5 years with our older son.
Now I know why it was so cheap on Black Friday. :-(
so, after having this monitor for about a year now, used for 8 months, it was amazing... at first. Did what I needed and battery wasn’t too bad, picture quality wasn’t the greatest but I wasn’t expecting 1080p here and bonus, the cords are interchangeable so you can hook up monitor or camera with the same cords. Now after using on and off for the last few months, the battery won’t stay charged, it dies really fast. And I mean REALLY fast. I had it charging all night, took it off for about an hour and it was already at 1 bar battery life. It’s lagging horribly and the sound is glitching out. I’ll hear him crying before the monitor ever picks it up. Sometimes, it won’t turn off so I have to unplug a camera and switch the screen to that and just let it turn itself off after like 15 minutes of no connection. Honestly, if I could go back, I would find one that had better picture quality and battery life, or just find one I could use with my phone. The screen is stupid bright even on the lowest setting, so if you can’t sleep with some light, get something else.
Pros: does it’s jobs for the most part and fairly inexpensive
Cons: battery life, brightness, picture not very clear, sound stops working, won’t turn off sometimes.
If you’re gonna spend a $100 buy something that connects to your phone. It’ll save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
