I purchased my shelf from the store, so I was able to see if there was any damage to the shelf before buying (at least the part that was visible through the packaging). I did not read these reviews before buying however after I got home I decided to look at the reviews before installing myself. Af...see moreof the reviewer's review

I love the look of these shelves and they’re very easy for one person to install by themselves. My only complaint would be that one of the shelves broke where the bracket screws in because the wood is a bit cheap. But I was able to still use the shelf and it holds an appropriate amount of weight sti...see moreof the reviewer's review

I bought these in store on a rare whim, but when I got home, I read the reviews and was horrified! So many bad reviews! However, I love the look of them, and I was encouraged enough by the very few positive reviews that I thought I’d give it a shot. I took everything out of packaging very carefully,...see moreof the reviewer's review

I normally always read reviews before making purchases but this was one of the rare occasions I didn’t. All these reviews are true and accurate. My first problem was that the screws they give you to connect the brass brackets to the wood shelf are not long enough, I tried them every which way and ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Exactly what I wanted but there’s a definite manufacturing error. The screws are too long for the width of the wood, so they go right through the board when tightening the brackets. I unfortunately had to return, seeing as it was clearly defective.see moreof the reviewer's review

The wood shelf is very nice. It looks great. The quality is not 100%. It is a liiiittle shaky, so I wouldn't plan on putting a ton of weight on it. I had to fiddle with it a lot to get it right. I would say I'm a 7/10 in experience and preparedness for these projects. I'm not a novice, but perhaps a...see moreof the reviewer's review

Just like others said, the hanging template is useless. Knowing that, i didnt use it. Mine was wrong as well. I have plaster walls in a 1925 home and couldnt line up the brackets with the studs. Used a piece of wood that i had, stained it, and hung the shelf on it. Worked for me.see moreof the reviewer's review

Should not be this difficult. 1) Anchors are way too thick 2) Brackets are misaligned and/or does not specify where each one goes. All wrong.
