The game is great but Target’s lack of strategy to make sure preorders went out in a timely manner is appalling. Delay after delay just to cancel at the end is a slap to us as customers. On top of receiving no explanation or compensation. I usually don’t have bad experiences with Target, but wow, has this changed my mind about Target.

Game is Great from I heard but I'm disappointed with Target. I pre-ordered the game & I kept getting notifications every few weeks or so telling me there was a delay & that I had to approve of the order again. Kept doing that for months until Halloween. On Oct 31st I got an email from Target saying that my order was completely cancelled. I'm really disappointed that I didn't get the game & was also looking forward to getting the Gold Edition with the Steelbook. Next time I'll just use a competitor like Amazon since I know they're more reliable.

One of the worst experiences ever! Customer service did absolutely nothing. Just a complete joke. To everyone who likes to preorder, stay away from Target.

Had this preordered for quite some time. I recently went through and approved the next extension on the product, but Target sent me an email saying my order was cancelled. The reasoning was that I didn’t approve the extension, which I did. I contacted support and they kept copy and pasting responses telling me I wouldn’t be charged. I asked them why it was cancelled and they told me they couldn’t help me and disconnected the chat on me. I had spoke to multiple managers about this and this is egregious. Some of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in retail and as opposed to telling me it was cancelled due to a lack of stock they tried to blame me for something that was not true.

I waited for over a month to receive my game just so target can cancel on me. Costumer service was no help at all, they also told me to contact my bank to see why target cancelled my order. This store is a complete joke I will never purchase from them again, save yourself the headache and avoid target.

I preordered this in April as soon as the preorders opened. This was supposed to be released early and has been delayed multiple times which is the manufacture’s fault and not Targets. The problem with preordering from Target is every time there is a delay they require you to approve it which I have done every time the arrival date was extended. Then as I was checking on another preorder I noticed my preorder for this game was canceled. Target said I didn't approve the last delay, which I did. They said the cancelation couldn't be reversed even though I sent the confirmation email showing I approved the delay. Their response was oh well sorry you can just reorder it which of course I can't do because it's sold out and I should request a notification when it's back in stock which I doubt will ever happen.

Never trusting target again for any pre orders I’ve received multiple guarantees from escalation to be met with absolute with empty promises every week like everyone else it’s pathetic and just waiting for the class auction law suit not to mention the random unauthorized charges without notification. I agreed to pay when the game was ready to ship but never received notifications of shipping or payment. Just don’t trust these guys. Not to mention the amount of times I’ve gotten someone willing to help to escalations hanging up the conversation with me because they were incapable of handling an escalated conversation (an escalations manager) these guys do not care about their customers and the inconsistency in standards and practices is just unbearable I’ve even stopped going into their stores due to the pathetic inventory and quality that is shelved. The only thing consistent is the inventory restocked from 2021.

I like everyone else here preordered this game in August. I cancelled my order after the third delay but the mistake I made was that I used giftcards to buy the game. I have had to call customer service five times over the past two weeks and I’m still currently on call finally getting a physical gift card sent to me as refund for the giftcards I used. They didn’t even have the courtesy to refund back to my account but hey at least I got the refund. Target is usually better than this but yeah I probably won’t be preordering from Target for a long time. If you are still waiting hope you get the game eventually.

I preordered this in July and not only did it miss the early release date of September 5th (which was supposed to be a bonus of the gold edition) the delivery date has been pushed back every single week since then and is currently expected to arrive over a month late. I will never order anything from Target again.

As of today this is the 4th time the shipping has been delayed, to now October 10th. I preordered this on August 6th. This is ridiculous.

I reserved this game for early access and it's came and went with me never receiving the game. There has been no information from Target or this games studio on what's happening. It's been delayed now 3 times with no definitive time frame in sight. Why was this even allowed to be reserved at Target if they never were gonna get it. Will not be pre ordering here again unless some kind of compensation is giving for this.

I ordered two copies of Space Marine 2 Gold Edition, and I keep getting an email every Friday telling me the game is delayed yet again. As others in the reviews noted, Target has offered them a $15 discount as an "apology" for the delay. This is a DISCOUNT on the total, for a game WE MAY NEVER RECEIVE. Today, I contacted them because I received my third delay email. Although I ordered two copies of the game, they refused to offer more than a $15 discount on my order. As a reminder, this is a discount on my total purchase. They're refusing to provide gift cards because if/when they eventually cancel the order, they won't lose any money. Don't preorder games from Target. Despite their inability to track inventory properly, they don't care about making this right.

Early access my butt. First delivery date was this past Wednesday which didn't happen, then the 20th and now getting pushed back to the 27th. Absolutely ridiculous. I got a 15$ gift card for my inconvenience as it was " the most they are allowed to give" but it just keeps getting pushed back when I was originally told if I got it by noon the date I purchased that i would be able to pick it up, but no, they automatically chose shipping for me and this happened. Talking with over 3 agents and got not a single ounce of actual help. Like these other reviews say, target will take your money and except you to be patient and chill while they completely fail at doing anything to fix the situation.

I just brought the game on digital. This is ridiculous, they should’ve closed preorders the minute it was sold out. Esp given the reviews during early access. I originally had this game on preordered on Amazon but Target had an earlier date between the 7th and 10th. I should’ve stuck with Amazon because the Target isn’t coming until the 20th and that is if they get the stock according to 3 Target Customer Service agents. This is ridiculous and when you get the game, it close to the end of month where people are preparing for the Octobers (which is hot with heavy hitters at least 10-13 that heavily talked about for good or bad). This is why I don’t do Target preorders esp on games.

So much for pre-order. After calling customer service and they assured me it would be delivered that day I get an email saying sorry no delivery till the 19th. I'll never order from target again.

Mine was supposed to arrive between the 6th and the 11th. I chatted with customer service who assured me it would arrive by the 11th. It now says arriving the 19th. Nothing against the game, but with the service of receiving the item. I doubt it will even arrive by then. I honestly would be surprised if they cancel it on me like other brick and mortar stores are doing to people.

Pre ordered and target is delaying my order till 9 days after the release of the regular version!!! the point is early access on this edition. Target will take ur money no problem then expect you to be understanding. absolutely trash business practice. Target get me my game and stop being useless.

Target couldn’t ship on time this addition that promises early access…
