A: I find it to be quite greasy so I, as an oily-combo skin person, would not be able to wear it during the day. However, it's the most amazing night cream and eye cream I've ever used. If you have tried heavy occlusive creams and still felt "dehydrated" then this is for you! A little goes a long way. While I see they answered and said it gets absorbed quickly, I do not have that experience, which is actually why I like this product so much. Good luck!

Absolutely THE BEST for my skin. I have been using the original skin food cream on my face for at least 25 years!! My skin loves it and is not happy without it - it absorbs fast and leaves me protected and feeling moisturized all day - I will also use it on my face at night for a deep sleep. It went from being a luxury to being a trusted necessity! I use the lighter version for my feet and if another part of my skin feels dry. I had a bit of a scare when Whole Foods didn’t carry the original skin food anymore favoring the newer Weleda products - and appreciate that I can order directly over the internet now. Truly grateful for this fantastic healing moisturizer!

Good quality.
Very thick- good for dry skin. A little goes a long way. I put it on my under eye area and find it to work better than most eye creams. I will also put it on my lips at night (which are dry and sensitive to a lot of products) and it’s been helpful. I’ve gotten many compliments on my skin when using it exclusively.

Please Bring Back the Original Product
The original Skin Food is one of the products that made Weleda great. I'm so sad to report that all of the best products have changed for the worse. The last time I tried Skin Food it was sticky and the plastic tube is a downgrade. Please bring back the original White Mallow lotion, the original Iris night cream, and the original skin food. Weleda, we need you to not go the way of the world. Thank you for considering.

Favorite deep moisturizer
I love this product use it on hands feet and a bit on my face. I would like to see this product in a small metal jar. It would be easy access for arthritic hands. My hope is that this might be a consideration for future.

Very heavily scented, very sticky, doesn’t want to soak into my hands. I LOVE this brand and love the Skin Food line but this was a disappointment. I think the “Body and Face” label is misleading, as this clearly is not meant to be used on delicate skin. Perhaps would’ve a good “mask” to use overnight, if you can tolerate the heavy fragrance.

I was looking for a more natural way to keep my skin moisturized when I found this company with a random search. I'm so thankful that I did find them as every product I've ordered so far has seemed to reverse any dryness and even has helped with wrinkles. Skin Food is more than a moisturizer, you actually feel like you're giving your skin the nourishment that it needs. Highly recommend!

I purchased my first tube this year in Munich Germany on Holiday. I live in utah and we are a very dry state. I'm in my 60's. I've tried every expensive non expensive products ever made. It's literally what is says food for my skin. My face has never looked or felt better. I'm obsessed , and have a lot of my friends using it. I use it 3 times a day. I could go on and on about this product. Give it a try you will never buy another face moisturizer. I just recently starting using the body butter. I have no words. It's the best. Remember food for the skin.

i bougth the light one first back in June its was so good so rich and I got the dewy effekt and I used that in 4 months in October I buy the same product they change the emballege and I think they chance the formula to because its feels like watery and makes the makeup cakes I want the old formula back I also tried the dark one to I have acne now......

At first, it was a little thick and hard to spread over my face, but once I learned to kind of rub it in and do it in small bits all over it worked much better smells great and it actually leaves a nice shine. I will definitely be purchasing more and maybe I'll buy the specific face balm for my next purchase.

I've been purchasing both the night time and day time skin food lotion for the past 10 years. I refer all my friends and family to use this lotion, it is absolutely incredible. Naturally when the product is low, I cut open the bottle to get every ounce. I love this lotion to the last drop! Recently the packaging has been updated to a metal bottle. This is a negative change because when I cut open the bottle to use up the last drop, metal shards are mixed in with my lotion. I've gotten scratches on my face and had a tiny pieces of metal get stuck in my face. I recognize this is a niche issue.

Need I say more than winter weather & being indoors in the winter can both wreak havoc with my skin. On anyone's skin. So whether it's as a nighttime face cream or used on my dry hand's I just adore this cream. A small amount rubbed between the hand's, then gently pressed into the face. Skin feels & looks cared for & that's the best part.

Just wonderful!
I have been using this off and on for about a decade and always come back to it. I have sensitive skin that is pretty normal in terms of oiliness or dryness. I don't usually go to etiher extreme, but sometimes I have an epiosde of dry skin from weather or pollen allergies so I use this on my face as a mask during those times. It immediately feels and looks better once I towel it off. On a daily basis, I use a very tiny amount as a day moisturizer. It can feel greasy at first but it just kind of blends into my skin in a way that just feels very comfortable. It also acts as a primer, though I know it's not advertised as such. Great on feet, elbows, legs, etc. too.
