Q: Confusing. It says in the description it is a on-off rotary switch. One answer to submitted question said it has a three-way switch. Does it indeed have a three-way switch?

A: The lamp DOES NOT have a 3 way switch!

As others mentioned, if you start from top, it works fine. My wife and I completed assembly within 30 min. Everything looks good. One start less because of the shade which was not sturdy and had to play with it so it will stay straight. But looks nice and works.. The package was damaged a bit but thee item itself was good.

We love this lamp. The 3 way rotary switch is perfect for us because we love have the different options. You just have to make sure you buy a 3 way light bulb that doesn't go over 100 watts. Putting it together was super simple, the hardest part was just getting everything tightened well so it doesn't wobble. At first, I thought we were missing a wing nut, but it was just hidden under the black fabric on the base of the lamp. For the price, I think this is a great lamp. We payed full price and it was totally worth it.

I ordered the lamp that was supposed to include the bulb- it didn't so I paid extra for no reason. Plus one of the washers to hold the lamp together is missing so I have a lamp that's leaning until I get a washer separately. The base is also scratched up. definitely not happy with this.

Very nice and sturdy lamp. It was very simple to put together. I was having trouble finding a floor lamp to match my nightstand lamps style and design. Goodness, this was difficult to assemble. The side with the cord I had the most difficulty putting together. Then, finally I found myself just jamming the last pieces (part D) into their respective tubes and jamming the wood base. This resulted in one of the screws on the base to not fasten all the way into the washer. The lamp was still secure. But like other reviews, it was leaning. Good thing I was able to hide that by leaning the lamp on the baseboard of floor.
