AWFUL. All the cards smell awful and the same. Its the smell of the cards not the scents. Which you can’t get passed to even try and play the game. Your hands and the air smelled awful before you even attempted to scratch and sniff the card. Not worth it.
This game was pretty fun, but honestly I couldn't get over the initial gag from the smell that wafted out when I opened the box. We had fun playing it and trying to guess the smells, though many of them were difficult to tell other than "something bad." It did make my friends and me have some good laughs, however, which is the point to silly games like this.
This game is HORRIBLE. All of the cards smell gross and not at all as they are supposed to. None have a pleasant smell. Its been 45 minutes since we finished the game and Im still nauseated. Don't waste your money. Nothing fun about this game. My children ages 4, 7, 9, 10, and 19, along with my husband and I, found this gross. We won't be playing it again!
We had an awful good time playing this game. It works off of your scent memory, and it really tests that memory. You will be surprised at how hard it is to decide between the smell categories or how you rack your mind trying to figure out what a smell is to only find out that it was an apple. We enjoyed a couple of rounds before we had to stop due to not being able to get over the smell the entire game emits. There are 48 whiff cards with their own unique smells, but some of the smells are downright disrespectful and once you smell something you don't like the smell does not go away. Seriously, I had to bag the game up because there is a smell that I cannot get over, but I am too scared to go through the whiff cards to get rid of it for fear that the smell will never leave me. As I write this review the smell is coming back to me, gag. The good smelling cards are really nice though, and if it wasn't strange I'd probably carry around the garlic card with me everywhere. The game was quick, easy, and fun to play. The box states ages 14 and older, but my 11 year old played with no problems... at least until he had to smell a stank card which resulted in the best video and laughs ever. The app allows you to earn more points which helped us, because we failed at guessing our cards. I would suggest that the app give you the option to end a round if everyone has finished guessing.
We had a blast with this! If you like games, check it out. We tried to play it with some younger kids 10 and 9, but definitely stick with the age requirement. You can play with 2 but 3 or more was lots of fun.
I played this game with my 13 year old son & 15 year old nephew. They loved it. They couldn't help themselves from being goofy with the different smells. They have even played trying to just guess the smells. I can't speak to playing the game with the app since the last time we played the app was not yet available for android.
