A: Hi VJ! Although there are two locking latches that allow for the base to be snapped closed and secured to the top of the carrier, the carrier is not airtight.

A: Hi Terri - The carrier will accommodate a 10 inch cake. The total height of the carrier is about 8 inches. The cake height would need to measure a few inches less than the total height, depending on the icing and decorations being used.

I make a lot of cakes and cupcakes and this 2 in 1 carrier is my absolute favorite for storing and carrying my treats. It's sturdy and the side latches let you know that your goodies are secure. The reversible insert allows a nice size cake and large amount of cupcakes. I love the purple contrast too.

Used this carrier once for a cheesecake I worked very hard to make for my birthday dinner. I got all the way to the kitchen at my parents’ house and the carrier popped open and the cheesecake fell top down on the floor. Do NOT waste your money on this garbage.

I bought this brand new to carry my beautifully decorated, made from scratch, cake to my grandpa’s 93rd birthday party. I made it all the way to his driveway and the cake carrier, popped open and the cake landed upside down on the pavement! Not only that, it broke the plate the cake was on and glass got in the cake, so there was no recovering. I never write negative reviews, but this was unacceptable. NEVER USE THE CARRYING HANDLE IF YOU BUY THIS CAKE!

I’ve been searching for this type of cake saver! Large, roomy, well made. It would easily fit a triple layer cake inside or you can reverse for a cupcake carrier! Too bad I can only give this product 5 stars. It is easily deserving of more. Wilton never disappoints! Thank you!

Wiltons older style cake carrier/caddy was much better. This is a significant downgrade. The older style had 3 strong clips, the new style only has 2. With anything of any weight (ie cheescake, carrot cake) the bottoms bends and the carrier falls apart. We found this out the hard way when our my wifes hard work/money and my friends birthday cake ended up on his driveway. HUGE swing and a miss! Wilton cheaped out on design and material and consumers will pay the price.

This was an Epic Failure! I was carrying a cake for a church fundraiser when the latch, which is supposed to secure the base to the top, popped open. My cake, and the base of the carrier ended up on the floor! This was the very first time I used the carrier, so it was not worn out, or otherwise weakened from repeated use. How truly disappointing. Wilton has always been a reliable, first class line of products, but this certainly misses the mark! If I could give it zero stars I would. If you have one of these carriers, DO NOT trust the latch mechanism, and always carry this from the bottom! Besides the ruined cake and waste of time and ingredients, our church missed out on a FUNdraising opportunity.

Just arrived and it’s a lot bigger than I thought I’d be which is great! It fits perfectly for bundt cakes and I love that it’s double-sided so you can use it for cakes or cupcakes.

Fantastic for cakes. It’s good for cupcakes. The only thing is I wish there was an insert of some kind so you could do two levels of cupcakes. The carrier is so tall you could do two levels instead of just the one level. A lot of unused space.

I spent a long time searching for the best cake carrier/storage (probably more than is normal, but hey, we’re in a pandemic). This one won and I am so delighted! Well-made and sturdy, sides lock in well so you can carry with confidence that you will not ruin your cake or cupcakes, and the price - you can’t beat it (and you’re not giving up anything because of it!). Love that you just flip the bottom (one piece) for either a flat surface for a cake, or indents for cupcakes (or deviled eggs). Perfect item. Buy it.
