Take a stroll through the fallen leaves in the Amaya Faux-Leather Duck Boots from Universal Thread™. Perfect for chillier days, these short duck boots will see you through many a damp morning in style. Full front laces on the faux-leather upper help you adjust the fit to suit you, while the rubberized bottom and textured tread lend a confident step no matter the weather. Pair them up with a skirt and sweater tights for a stylized take on this seasonal favorite, or go casual with distressed skinnies and a flannel, then grab a warm beverage for a walk through the park.
These boots fell apart after wearing them twice. The "leather-ish" portion came away from the rubber part almost immediately, which was very inconvenient given I was walking in snow and they became drenched and soaked through with cold melted snow. I realize they are L.L.Bean quality, but I didn't expect them to be unwearable so quickly. I would highly recommend just coughing up the $150 for a good pair of Beans, which is what I have now done. Some things just can't be duplicated... these are not worth $5, much less $40.
So I order these boots and they were exactly what I wanted! I've only worn them three times and today I discover that the bottom sole has torn and is coming apart. These shoes were forty dollars and they fell apart on the third wear. I am so upset.

Boots run big if you don’t wear thick socks. I’m typically a 10.5 and saw the mixed reviews so I ordered both a 10 and 11. I pulled the 11s out and said “these look like man boots”. Put the 11 on and it was huge and bulky. So I got the 10s out, they fit fine. I’m not a thick sock with boots wearer so a size down would be sufficient. However these shoes are THICK. I’ve tried on other duck boots and they don’t look like these at all. They’re embarrassingly big and I immediately returned both pair. I’m bummed but it wasn’t a cute feminine duck boot.
I ordered the boots few weeks ago and when they arrived, the right boot lining, something was wrong with it and my right foot was not comfortable at all. I returned the boots to the store and ordered another pair. Second pair arrived and lining feels much better on my feet.
Now, what's interesting is that the boots that i returned fit perfectly fine (size wise) but the new pair that i received, they are snug. I wear a 8.5 or 9 so i ordered a 9 but they are snug. I dont think i will be able to wear thick socks with the boots. Overall, i do recommend the purchase. Boots are stylish and i just hope that they will last for few winters. I am debating if i want to return and get size 10.
These boots look great online and in person. However, they are very chunky and bulky. I’m a tall woman and they looked odd on my legs. I also ordered up a size (I’m an 8 and ordered a 9) and they were HUGE. I had to return them. I’ll stick with my Bean Boots for now on!
Love these boots! I initially ordered them in a 10 bc of previous reviews I read, I usually wear a 9-9.5, but they were huge! I ordered a 9 and they're perfect, with room to wear thicker winter socks. These will be perfect for snowy days
