With the Bi-Stretch Twill Dress from A New Day™, you can easily transition your look from a day at the office to a night out with friends. This fitted dress brings a simple silhouette with a seam at the waist and a slight gather in the center, keeping a flattering style that will keep you comfortable all day. Just trade your blazer and pumps for a clutch and chunky heels, and you’ll be ready to take on whatever the rest of the day has in store.
I keep seeing this dress in my local store. Sometimes there’s a black dress, sometimes there’s a navy one. It’s always a couple sizes too big, but I think it’s cute; the material is nice; I like to wear this sort of thing to work; I try it on.
I have done this no fewer than FOUR TIMES on four separate occasions and had the same result every time. I’m reviewing this so hopefully I’ll remember to not make this mistake a fifth time.
I’m a pretty safe 10-12. Sometimes 8 fits. I keep trying on the random 14 someone buys online and returns to the store, not remembering this story ends in heartbreak. The top is for an 8, maybe, but not anyone fuller than a 32D. The skirt part is for a 6, or a stick-straight 8. The armholes are for a 14. True, my current 10 is slightly bigger than the 12 I wore in high school 15 years ago, but if they were trying to end vanity sizing with this dress, they must have gone back to what a 14 was in 1975. Except for the armholes.
Bottom line: if the sizing were not attributable to Kafka, I would buy four of these *at full price* because the material and idea of the dress are great. In reality, all of this is absurd.
Great dress, material is nice and sturdy but soft and perfect for work or a professional outing. Not too long and not too short. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the fit is a bit off. I'm 120lbs 5'7 and while it fits nicely in the hips, if you have a small waist you'll have to get it taken in. Overall pleased but am going to have it altered to have it fitting right.
I'm 5'3", 32A Bra Size, 26" Waist and 37" Hips and I'm wearing a Size 0 - check out my review pictures - I included front, side and back shots. This dress has stretchy material, I like how it fits on my hips. The design in the chest area is giving a bit of room. I am quite small in the chest so I would wear a padded bra to fill it out. Hope my review helps you out!
