How to measure

  • Bust

    Measure across the fullest part of your bust, keeping tape measure level.

  • Torso

    Run tape measure from the top of your shoulder,between your legs & up again back to where you started.

  • Waist

    Bend slightly to one side. The crease is where your natural waistline is. Measure a comfortably loose, level line around that point.

  • Hip

    Stand with your feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of your hips & Seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit well. Now measure along the seam from the crotch to the leg opening.

Beyond disappointed in Target

Beyond Disappointed in Target in general. They have made it impossible for me to go to a store and try this on. so I had to take a stab at it. it's disappointing and infuriating that they have decided to COMPLETELY CUT OUT A DEMOGRAPHIC of customers because they only want to cater to juniors and womens that only go up to XL. I hope you realize you're forcing my hand to go to your competitors like Lane Bryant for plus size clothes. It sucks cause I have to pay two to three times as much for clothes. thanks for the disappointment

Beautiful print//Big sleeves

Absolutely love this dress. The print is beautiful, the colors are exactly as shown. Made with a good "sundress" material. However, as noted in many of the reviews, it's definitely for bustier girls and the shoulders & sleeves are a little big. I am 5'5" and a 44 DDD so the bust and waist fit me perfectly in the 2x but I did find the shoulders slipping a bit here and there. Over all I would just suggest reviewing the listed measurements and potentially sizing down, if you feel you fall between sizes.

It fits like it was meant for someone with a Dolly Parton figure - huge bust with a narrower waist and torso. It is both too big and too small. The neckline and sleeves are huge for the size and the waist directly below the elastic panel is too small. It’s like two different sizes were sewn together. The fabric isn’t as nice I was hoping but I would have still worn the dress if it had fit correctly.

Sleeves keep pulling down

I am 5'7 and wearing a 4x which is my usual size. I wanted to love the dress because it's very pretty and would be lovely for spring. Unfortunately the sizing is a bit off. While the bottom part was fine, my shoulder kept getting exposed because the sleeves were pulling down and it just wouldn't sit right. Also the patterns didn't match up where two pieces were sown together..

Beautiful but sleeve sizes do not match the rest of the dress.

Beautiful colors but the dress felt like the sleeves and bodice were mismatched in size. I bought size 1X. The dress was a little snug but fit in the bodice part of the dress. I loved the flow. The sleeves were 2 sizes too big. I could not get the sleeves to stay in place. Pulling the sleeves up like the model just added extra fabric that could not be smoothed to fit right.

Lovely dress for spring brings color to the table

This dress is a beautiful, colorful option for spring. In a shorter length with bubble sleeves it lets us plus size girls stand out. This is a size XXL, and I normally wear an XL-XXL but in this case, the top is quite fitted. There is a smocked panel in the back which should give you some space if the shoulders keep dropping so I wouldn’t want to size up.

I was excited to try this dress out based on the pictures. It’s such a cute pattern. I am 5’9 and weigh about 210 lbs. I usually wear size XL or 1X depending on the size and cut. I thought XXL might be too big but boy was I wrong. It was very tight all around and also th short length is short. I had to continually tuck in my bra. Just not a comfortable fit for me so it’s going back.

The Ava and Viv is a pretty. It is an off white with pink flowers and a green in the middle of the flower. I ordered the XXL. It is a mostly cotton dress with 48 percent of it being recycled cotton. There is some spandex on the back to keep the top tighter. As for fit it was tight in the chest area. The sleeves were too big and falling of of my shoulders. The sleeves were also not tight around the elbows. There was elastic there but it was loose as well. I did like the length of the dress.

Very cute midi dress true size

I purchased this dress for myself hoping to get a nice summer floral print in a shorter dress. I am 5‘11“ tall and unfortunately this dress was just a little bit too short for my liking because of my height. I purchased it in a one X and it was very true to size and fit me well it was just the length that I found to be uncomfortable for me.

I have an issue with sizing on so many brands. I have purchased Avaand Viv that were huge on me. This was not one of them. In fact it was so ill fitting I double checked the size. The dress is beautiful and the colors were gorgeous. It was tight around the tummy and loose around the chest. The square neckline was made to make it difficult for a regular bra. I would say there are probably many women my size that this dress may be a dream for, just not me. Oh, it has well placed pockets and it is a nice length

Gorgeous dress
