Women's Faux Leather Midi Skirt - A New Day™ Black

I’m obsessed with this skirt. It’s so comfortable and looks beautiful on. Only wish it came in more colors!

Saw this on the rack and target and ended up purchasing. Great fit it is body hugging but has just a litte bit of stretch. The side zipper is a little hard to get up sometimes I needed to pull the skirt up then zipper and pull down. Bought the new day cashmere blend sweater to go with the skirt. Will wear often.

I am usually a size 12-14 and i had to down size to a 8. This skirt runs very big, and I am very curvy. Even with down sizing to an 8, it still feels odd and not fitted. The material is gummy like. I haven’t worn it out yet, reconsidering possibly returning it. I am 5’8 and the skirt hits my ankles and I had to bring it up way over my waist.🫤

I ordered a size 8 and my waist and hip measurements are 30.5 and 41 inches. The skirt fit ok but not great. I would’ve preferred it a little tighter in the waist so that it actually sat at my waist (instead of a couple inches below) but sizing down would’ve made the hips too fitted for my taste. I am going to return the skirt bc it’s too long - almost a maxi on me and I’m 5’7” - and it’s LOUD. It’s so swishy when I walk, and I don’t like that. The pleather is also just mid quality. It feels a little gummy/plasticy to me.

Elegant, understated, sophistication. Size down. Beautiful with a turtleneck or flowy blouse with boots for fall/winter.

This has a very matronly feel to it, which I never thought I’d say about black faux leather. I had to go down to a 2 (usually a 4-6) and it was still a little big in the hips and draped in a way that was both unflattering and looked cheap. I’m 5’7” so I can only imagine it would be even more conservative looking on a shorter woman. My husband said I looked like a “rebellious schoolmarm.” Not exactly what I was going for. It also arrived quite wrinkled which makes me worry about how it would wear. While it’s good in the grand scheme of faux leathers, I think this material is better suited for more structured pieces.

Had high hopes for this. I'm typically a 10, occasionally a 12. Ordered in a 10 and swam in this. Got it in an 8, and it was still really large/sat weirdly on my waist. Bummer, but it's going back.

Very cute skirt, definitely a closet staple! I would recommend size down. I’m usually a size 16, but it is too big so I am trying a size 14.

Beautiful and on trend!! Can be styled so many ways. True to size with a little stretch. Must have for fall and winter.

I know that sounds a little over the top but it is true. Super soft and supple. The cut is very flattering and does give that luxury vibe. It runs true to size, is very high quality. It is not lined but does have a nice soft suede feel inside to keep it comfortable. While I love my Faux Leather Minis, they aren't great for year round use, which is why I was so happly to find a Faux Leather Midi and in such an elevated style. It just looks and feels like a much more expensive skirt. Highly recomend, I'd buy it in every color, if they would just make it in other colors.

Wishes do come true. I've been wanting a nice dressy Faux Leather Midi Skirt for sometime and this one is everything. I love the paneled look and flattering cut. Don't get me wrong I love my Faux Leather Minis but this will be perfect for Fall and into winter. Like other recent A New Day Faux Leather skirts it is super soft to the touch and very supple. I'm usually a 12, sometimes a 10 in Target bottoms and went with a 12 in this. The fit is perfect. It does have some stretch so I probably could have gone with the 10. I really wish this came in other colors, I'd buy it in all colors. Here is to wishing for this exact same skirt in a nice Chocolate Brown, Dark Olive, or the great Maroon color of this year's mini but to be honnest I'd buy it in any and every color. Great value too, looks like a very expensive piece. Highly recomend this whether you are a long term Faux Leather fan like me or you have been hessitant to try the trend, you'll be getting complements all day long.

This skirt is perfection. It's perfect for fall and winter and a piece I'd consider wardrobe staple. Right on trend with "quiet luxury"! I can't wait until it gets cold enough to wear!
