Women's High Neck Slip Dress - A New Day™

I honestly didn’t think I would like this until I saw someone else wearing it and thought I’d give it a try. Brown can be tough because it’s very reflective on different skin tones. I have olive/more tanned skin and the color and fit were great. I’m hour glass and this bias cut flowed beautifully!

I am five feet tall and 155-160 pounds and size Large fit me like a glove. At first I tried on size X-Large and it was clear that it was too large. I ran to another Target as they had the last size Large left. Thank god I did. The fit was perfect. Also, I’m someone who only and exclusively wears black but the brown was too gorgeous to pass up. I need every single color in this dress. I am in love. Lastly, this dress is comparable to other dresses in the market ($$$) but way more affordable. Crossing fingers that Target will bless us with a restock.

I wanted to love this but it was huge in the armpits and gave me no shape. great color and material though.

Love the color, comfortable style and fit. Sophisticated look. Can easily be altered to accommodate various occasions. Timeless style. Should be a staple for years to come.

Purchased this dress in size Small and beige color, perfect for an outing with some boots! Very comfortable, very form fitting however.

Perfect perfect I loved it so much so flattering and comfortable. I had to travel with it and I was worried about ironing the material but it was amazing and had no issues ironing it. 10/10

The cut of dress sooo flattering

I ordered the brown and the cream in xs, and both colors are so pretty. The material is not too thin or thick, it's the perfect weight and looks pricier than it is. But the fit in this is so weird. I think if you have the right body, it probably looks great. I'm 5'1 about 105 lbs.. the biggest issue is the side sticking under the arms..loose and falls below my chest. The back side is weird too, the material stays bulged up at the bottom of my back.

i wanted so badly to love this. the material and color are lovely but the fit is SO WEIRD, it’s somehow extremely fitted in the shoulders and hip area but not in the torso area. as a result it’s soooo unflattering on me and makes me look like i’m either slouching forward or heavily pregnant lol. I’m only 5’2 so maybe the proportions just don’t work for my height. Sadly a return for me.

Great fit and drape. The brown color is beautiful and unusual. I needed a strapless bra to make it work. Great buy!

Looms expensive but very odd fit

Just like everyone else has said, the underarm area was cut weird. If it weren’t for that flaw, this dress would definitely be 5 stars.

I NEVER write reviews - ever - but I love this dress so much. I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dress and the price tag only makes it an even sweeter deal. I'm 5'6, medium/athletic build with a little extra "love" in my tummy/legs/arms. I tried both a medium and large on, but ended up purchasing a large because I felt more comfortable and confident in that. So flattering, so luxurious, just a win-win-win. Highly recommend!

I love the silk. It’s thick so it’s not see -through. I have a 36C athletic build, 5’7. I got a medium. The boobs fit across but the armpits were huge. I was thinking of getting a smaller size but according to other reviews I don’t think that’s the answer. It’s also not very curvy. It kind of just hangs straight down. I wanted a more fitted/hug the curves style.

I'm 5'2 120lbs. I got an xs. This dress was so flattering. I took one star away because I ended up buying 4 of them in the same size because they all fit a little bit different. It's satin so water will leave marks but you can get them out. I used a steamer to get the wrinkles out and that worked perfectly.

Pros: The dress color is gorgeous. I am in love with this color as it is very flattering on my skin tone. The fabric gives the dress a more elevated casual look. I have broad shoulders so any cut that brings out my hips without being skin tight is a win for me. The length is alright despite me being petite (5'1"). When I first tried it at the store, I fell in love with the style that I got a brown and cream one (online purchase). I am usually size Small (35-27-38) but I did size down to an XS for this dress. I think it runs a size big. Cons: As seen in other reviews, mine came stained and I didn't realized it until after I removed the tag. I thought it would come off after a wash and no. In fact, it shows marks very clearly. I decided to still wear it even with the scuff marks to really test out this dress on walks. TMI but I wore aluminum-free deodorant and I don't think I was sweating in that area (since the armpit holes are long) and yet you'll see the "sweat stain" on the side of my armpit 😬😬 so maybe I would recommend anti-perspirant when wearing this dress. Definitely not a summer dress. Sweat will show and water marks will show very easily. I am debating on buying another one and this time inspecting for stains. Knowing what I know now, I would take extra precautions to keep it looking good. It's a beautiful dress but not sure if all this is worth the $$$. Still contemplating that decision.
