I live in Cleveland, so... We know weather. Though I would not recommend them for long stretches in the snow and cold, going from a parking lot to a building in messy weather they work great. There's no lining, so for spending time outside in serious winter weather (freezing and snow), you want a totally different boot.
I spend time in less than ideal places for work, but despite standing in the rain, I still have to look nice. I got these for a chilly, rainy night (above freezing). They're very comfortable, run true to size even in thicker socks (I have wide feet and they fit great), and kept my feet dry despite the rain (though I admit I had successfully avoided puddles all night). They weren't exactly warm, but they were much better than ballet flats.
I doubt they are water proof, however, when I did trek through a notoriously puddle ridden parking lot this morning (in rainy weather I never make it through that parking lot with dry shoes) they didn't let in water. I imagine if you stood in a puddle your feet would would eventually get wet, but getting through a wet parking lot I was dry.
Overall, for a cute, not too dressy/not too casual (they matched the faux fur trim on my coat... Which was what prompted me to choose them) cool weather shoe, I would totally recommend!
These are my new favorite! So so cute and comfortable, well made (or so it seems - I haven’t worn them enough yet to give a full review on that), and they look expensive. J Crew sells a similar pair for much more. Contemplating picking up another color, they go with everything! True to size but order down if between sizes. I’m an 8.5-9 - the 8.5 for perfect with a little room for a thicker sock.
