The Lucille Water Shoes from C9 Champion® are a necessary option for your next water adventure. With a nylon fabric top and hard bottom, they are ideal for walking in wet areas or partaking in water sports. The tight shoes are easy to put on and take off thanks to their stretchy and slide-on design. The mesh detailing offers breathable wear, and the pink lining is sporty and adds some flair to a practical shoe.
I ordered a size to large, but they worked in a pinch. I needed these for a late summer getaway and this was the only place I could find them on short notice. The XL is actually 11-12 and I'm a size 10 so they were a bit big. I was able to tighten the Velcro so they did not fall off and worked fine for climbing on the rocks on the beach. The sole of the shoe got a bit bent after I took my foot in and out several times, but that's typical with most water shoes.
I was looking for a pair of water shoes with no Velcro because the Velcro usually comes undone in the water. This pair was advertised as having a snap instead of Velcro. I was upset when they arrived and had Velcro. However, they did wonderful in the water so I forgive the false advertising. I also wanted a pair that was easy to get on my feet. This pair did well in that area also.
The bottom insole insert is hardly fixed to the shoe, so it slides around and never stays in place, which is really annoying and makes the shoe feel really cheap. I wear a 9.5 and the large fit fine, maybe a little big. I think a medium also would have fit. I really only needed these for a one-time use, but hoped I could have gotten more use out of them if I needed them in the future, but I'll probably just end up tossing them.
These water shoes are a good fit, comfortable and easy on/off with the velcro tab. However, the sole material is slippery on the wet shower floor and in the pool. I do swim aerobics and the main reason I wear pool shoes is for safety and traction. If the manufacturer would do something about the sole they would be perfect water shoes. They would be fine now for beaches but be very careful wearing them in pools, locker rooms and showers.
