Chilly days call for soft knits, and this Long-Sleeve Cable-Knit Mock-Neck Sweater from A New Day™ is just the sweater for the job. The relaxed, comfy fit of this knit pullover sweater brings instant autumnal vibes to your look while the cable-knit detailing adds a touch of texture and pretty interest. Wear it out and about with jeans and booties or snuggle up for a night in with fuzzy slippers and yoga leggings — you're sure to feel cozy however you style it.
Very pretty and soft. It does run very big. I typically run a 26 or 3x. I ordered a 4 x and am returning to the store so I can see if I need a 1x or 2x The 4 x hangs to my knees almost like a dress and I need to hold in 4 to 6 inches in each side. The pink is very dusty sophisticated mauve. The red is gorgeous lipstick red.
The cable detail goes about to the waist and then begins a very flattering rib knit that pulls it in at the waist a little. I only hope I can get a reorder before they sell out and before Christmas.
This sweater is ultra soft and slightly fuzzier than it appears in the pictures. The blush is a sophisticated, muted pink, not cotton-candy or adolescent looking. The gray is a beautiful light pearl gray. I'm thoroughly sick of GRAY in general, but not THIS gray. As for sizing, I'm 5'7" and I fall squarely in the 2X range. I first ordered the 3X. I just always size up, since the trend for the last few years seems to be to put plus-sized models in the smallest size humanly possible. That's not for me. Anyway, this sweater is very oversized. The 3X, I could have worn as a short dress (and contemplated it - ha!) The armholes are very deep (they came to my waist in the 3X). The ribbing that you see beginning at the model's midriff began at about my hip bones. I sent that one back and got the 2X. It's 32 inches long from the base of the neckline ribbing to the hem, measuring down center back, also very oversized. I LOVE IT. The ribbing in the 2X that starts on the model at midriff starts at my waist. I also ordered a 1X (in the gray), wore it today. Lengthwise, it's approximately 4 inches shorter than the 2X, still oversized. I ALSO ordered a regular XXL in white and will see how it fits. I'm anticipating it will fit as it does on the model. One thing that's not apparent in the photos is the cute shape of this sweater. The bottom ribbing draws the hem in slightly, giving a very slight bubble effect to the body. Nothing over the top ... just loose and flattering. The only reason I ordered the XXL regular is because I wanted the white, and they don't offer that in the plus sizes.
