This is a great dress and in person looks just like the picture. I was looking for a black/white colorblock dress and saw this in the store. I am so surprised that the top actually cinches in your waist! The tea length is good, but I like mine just below the knee so I hemmed it-perfect!

The dress is lovely and ballet inspired. I like that the torso is a body con fabric and that the scoop is low. I am having difficulty on the type of event to where it, I would love to hear how other commenters have worn this dress.

I like the dress! It is very pretty and can be dressed up or down. The only reason I have it four starts is because I wish the bottom of the dress was a little thicker material wise. I ordered an xxl at first and it was too snug in the breast areas. Then I ordered a 2x and the top of the dress was a little too big and the scoop portion of the dress was too low. I ordered a 1x and the fit is perfect. I am 5’10” and wear between an 18-22 depending on the clothing item and or brand.

The styling of this dress is beyond! Looks much higher end than a $42 dress. The knit drop waist combo with the nylon maxi skirt is perfection. The knit is heavy, small breast so no need to wear a bra! The skirt is very full but will need to be steamed prior to wearing. The dress fits TTS, 5’3”, 120 lbs purchased the small. May have to take the straps up slightly. XS may have fit but out of stock sadly. This dress will be so cute with ballet flats, sandals or sneakers. Worth every penny!

I love the whole thing: design, the fitted top part that I can get away with without any bra. Love the taffeta like wrinkled skirt part. The price is very good for such work. Let's be honest, the dress is not and doesn't look cheap AT ALL. It rather looks luxurious. When X makes the same dress with the same material and sells it for $499, we don't whine. We buy without even check the materials and compare it to the price!! Then, when more democrats, just entities makes the same dress and sell for 20 times less, we are so critical!!! I always wanted a ballerina dress and this dress fulfilled this wish. I thought the skirt material would be cheap, flimsy, or see through, it isn’t. The top keeps the stomach flat. I love it!

This is a fun, cute little number! I’m 5’3.5”, 35C, 128-130lbs with a flat stomach and long torso. I bought this dress in XS, and it fits great! The only room for improvement is the length of the straps. They’re a tiny bit too long — nothing noticeable or uncomfortable. The top fits like a glove — very flattering if you want a fitted look. The scoop neck is a little low, so if you’re uncomfortable with a little cleavage, this dress is not for you. The black fabric is nice and thick, but it does not give. In other words, it does not stretch. The bottom is faux taffeta. If this is not what you’re looking for, skip this dress. I love the mix of textures. I love the black and cream contrast — simple and elegant! This dress works with flats or heels.

Concept is beautiful, however it didn't fit well. I wear xxs in future collective clothes, but the bodice was so tight and the fabric does not stretch and there are NO zippers to aid in getting this dress off. Also the neckline scoops too low for my taste.

this dress is SO GOOD. like other reviewers say, the skirt is indeed a nylon material, but i love that, it’s very tibi. i’m usually a M in target and I have a large bust, but I sized down to a S so i didn’t have to wear a bra. it shows quite a bit of cleavage, but that’s the vibe of this dress. can’t BELIEVE this is from target!

The fabric was to heavy. It reminded me of a costume of some type.

I personally like the two different materials together. The top is made out of like a neoprene material and the skirt is like a swish pant material. For me it makes the dress stand out more. Dress is true to size. Yes skirt makes noise but doesn’t bother me. I believe worth the purchase.

Absolutely stunning dress, ran to the store to get it. It is very comfortable and breathable. Skirt is noisy but not in a bad way. I love this dress so much!

Skirt material very loud and cheap

I’m 5’1 and with ballet flats, it wasn’t too long. The bodice has a structured fit. Yes, the bottom of the dress makes a bit of rustling sound when walking. But overall it’s such a flattering fit.

I really wanted to love this dress. I loved how the top part looked/fit and loved the drop waist. Because of the material used on the bottom half of the dress, it bunched up at the seam. The fabric felt like nylon. I think if it were a chiffon or lighter/more flowy material, this dress would have been chefs kiss!

Love the look of this dress on!! The top is a thick cotton-y material that is super flattering. The bottom is quite loud, almost like a windbreaker material? Will be pushing through the noise, though, because it’s so cute. I’m sizing down for a snugger fit up top.

I ordered an XS which fits my 5’8” 123 lb frame for the most part but still have some room on top so might have been able to size down. It’s much fancier than I expected with the material and the bottom looks more pale yellow or dark cream in person. Though I think it’s a very stylish dress it’s very loud when you move.

I am really pleasantly surprised about this dress. Usually the Target designs are quite good, but are questionable quality. The top is double lined and very flattering. The skirt is fully polyester, which is expected at this price and I saw a similar dress with polyester skirt on Cos for $250. I can't speak to longevity because I haven't worn the dress yet, but overall very happy with this dress.
