I was having trouble finding summer weight nightgowns in my size when I got the idea to give this dress a try, on sale. Now I own most of the colors it came in and would potentially buy more if it came back Spring 2023. The fabric weight and texture vary from color to color - the white was thin and smooth, with a lining, whereas the colors had a little bit of gauze/rustic texture to them and were unlined - but overall they're light and crisp and pretty and I'm a little obsessed. I wear them constantly, and the delicate seaming and details have survived many washings looking great. Plus: this is the first time I've ever had a nightgown with pockets! So handy! This dress isn't perfectly perfect, but any shortcomings haven't mattered to me as pajamas. I shortened the straps by a couple of inches, but I'm pretty short, so those with longer bones may find the strap length more ideal. I used safety pins (originally intending them to be temporary) and now I'm happy I did, because I think the fabric has shrunk just a little after many washings. (Mostly *not* using the dryer fwiw). I might let the straps out just a little more soon. Also - this is hard to explain - the way the cut of this dress fits, it doesn't lay perfectly flat across the back, and this may bother some. (Over the years, I've had strappy tops that used this same construction method, and it is fairly normal for the cut to fall smooth across the bust and then in folds at the back). At least for me, this fold/drape in the fabric is not uncomfortable or particularly unsightly, and if I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a smaller than usual size, it's possible that it would go away entirely. I think of it as just being kind of vaguely grecian? Anyway, I don't know how often Target offers an item in more than one season, but I would be pretty excited to see this dress or a similar one come back. It's roomy and comfy and breezy but also makes me feel really pretty. And pockets!

Size down! This color is super cute and the fabric is light and beautiful!

Love it and worth the wait!

This dress is adorable. I got it on sale and will be using it as a swim cover up for the most part. I could wear it as a normal dress as it is not see through and long enough, but I hate wearing strapless bras, and it wouldn't look good with bra straps. It runs big, I am normally a small or medium, and I got an extra small and it's perfect- a little loose even a the top. Size down! ( The last couple items I have reviewed won't let me click on the sizing buttons! read reviews)

This is so comfortable and looks cute. It also has side pockets and I got the white and you can’t see through it either. Looks nice with a colored cardigan as well.

Fits well, definitely size down. I usually wear M and got a S.

This dress is huge even in size Small. The dress is very wide and just hangs. Not flattering on the body at all

It's runs really big! It's obviously a loose fitted dress but I ordered my regular size and It just looked way go big on me. Straps can't be adjusted either. It's a cute dress you just have to go down a size or two.

This is a super cute and fun dress for those warm summer days. Love the bright colors & unexpected color mix of tomato red with purple stripes. Has a loose fit making it comfortable to wear. Felt it was true to size, I purchased my normal Target dress size of XS. For reference I am 5’4”, 110lbs (32A-26-36). Wore with sandals & espadrille sneakers & received lots of complements. Love that it has pockets!

Fit as expected. If you are petite like me it’s not too long and I was surprised that I didn’t need to shorten it.

I usually size up in dresses from a Large to XL (depending on the cut), but there was a great sale on this dress and the only size they had left was an XXL. Given the cut of the dress, I thought I would try it...and it works (which makes me think it probably runs small)!! I love the color. I would definitely would have bought in more colors had they been available.

I throw over a bathing suit or just as a sundress. It’s so simple and easy. So comfy and soft. Sized big

Got my usual small and I wish it had adjustable straps because it’s too low cut and loose at the top. It’s also just big all around- not much structure. I wish some of the material was taken out so that it’s a little closer to my body. I’m sure an XS would help, but probably not enough because the Small is just really baggy everywhere. Pretty pattern and look but not really workable.

Was looking for a comfortable, super lightweight and fun dress for those hot and humid summer days where you still want to look cute - and this one fits the bill! The cotton is really breathable and the fabric moves well with the body. However, I suggest going down a size! I am in between a L and M but decided to get the L as I feared it might be tight on top. The dress was loose on top and I felt like I kept having to adjust the top so no one would see the girls!

Dress runs very big! I would say 2 sizes. I’m usually a L but got an xl for extra room so it would be baggy. But the xl fits like a 2x. Was in such a rush I did a drive up and decided to keep it and just wear it for an event.

Comfy and cute, a little boxy but great for those hot summer days. Fun dress!

The dress is very pretty but runs big. I should have sized down. I kept the dress anyway and might wear it as a beach coverup or a short sleeve shirt under.

I was going to return this dress, because ran a bit large. Decided to keep it! Love the colors!
