- The game where being the bad guy is a good thing.
- Fate cards allow you to meddle with other Villain's objectives!

You are the Villain! Command your henchmen, defeat the heroes, and enact your evil scheme. In Villainous, the story-based gameplay allows players to experience events from the classic Disney films, Aladdin, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, Robin Hood, Alice in Wonderland, and Peter Pan in exciting new ways. Each Villain plays differently, offering rich strategy to explore, surprising combinations to discover, and plenty of replay value. To play, move to a spot on your board and take actions based on your options at that location - actions will allow you to gain power, play cards, and defeat heroes. But, being a true Villain requires strategic interference with your opponents' goals. Use other players' Fate cards featuring heroes and other meddlesome objects, to prevent them from reaching their objectives. Be the first to achieve your Villain's devious objective and you win!

Fun to play 1 on 1 with 2 players or with a large group. It's ability to scale like this is one of the key benefits in my mind. It's a great game for getting together with friends, but my wife and I can also enjoy a 1 on 1 challenge after the kids go down. Games run about an hour in my experience...see moreof the reviewer's review

Finally, a Disney game that isn't Princess themed! This game is beautiful! Well designed, beautiful artwork. We received it as part of a promotion in exchange for an honest review. The learning curve for this game is pretty steep. There are several elements to it, and it takes a while (several times...see moreof the reviewer's review

The concept of this game is pretty remarkable. Each person plays their own villain and has their own unique objective to obtain in order to win ---- all the while trying to prevent other players from winning their own game. We found this to be very intriguing and were anxious to play it. We received...see moreof the reviewer's review

"Patience, Iago, patience." 'cause you're going to need it. Initial play is super frustrating and very complicated, almost overwhelmingly so. I received this product in exchange for my honest opinion, so I wanted to give it a good go and not throw in the towel too early. We have yet to play it witho...see moreof the reviewer's review

High complexity. Steep learning curve. My guess is it will require 3 competed games to become proficient. Kids playing this game must have a high reading comprehension. First play through with 2 adult players took 1 hour with no prior knowledge of the game. That isn't bad, considering the time...see moreof the reviewer's review

The first time you play can be a bit long, but the game is very well done. Each character has it's own advantages and disadvantages. Very fun to play and really hope they make expansions with other characters! We bought it as a gift, but will definitely be buying another for ourselves!

I hate to be the one to write the first negative review, but...we purchased this game as a birthday present for a very precocious ten year old, who typically loves board games with the family. Three post-graduate degree adults and the child spent almost 45 minutes trying to understand how to play it...see moreof the reviewer's review
