This is an attractive, solidly-built bench, but mine came with several holes drilled too short to get bolts inserted tightly and with two holes not even drilled. Handy granny had to get out her power drill and drill her own holes! Used muscle force and carpenter's glue to get the loose bolts tight enough to make do. Don't buy this unless you are willing to spend the money to have it assembled for you or risk hours of frustration.

This bench was super easy to put together and looks great, but it is honestly so uncomfortable. The middle horizontal bar isn’t rounded along the top edge so you get a 90 degree square edge digging into the middle of your back when you sit on it. We tried using this as a kitchenette bench seat but it just isn’t working out as it’s so uncomfortable we don’t even want to sit on it. Would not recommend buying if you want this for anything other than aesthetics.

I absolutely love this piece! I bought it on sale and I got the brown (black was sold out) and so glad I did! It’s such a beautiful chestnut brown as soon as you open the package, you’ll feel the quality of wood. It was super easy to set up, I did it alone. I haven’t found a permanent place for it, right now it’s in the family room/playroom. It can be vintage, modern, mid-century, it will work with any decor. You will need assistance placing it in different rooms to see how it looks. I place a fleece blanket under it and dragged it to each room :) It’s beautiful!
