  • A: The video shows the lamp being used with a battery operated remote control LED bulb. If you want to use this lamp with a remote control you would need to get a special bulb that can be controlled remotely. I feel that the video is slightly disingenuous in that it doesn't explain the presence of a special, not-included bulb

    Wedge something in and its great!!

    Such a great light and style! There really aren’t any other options like it and the price is the best! Yes the way it’s made is faulty. The lamp swings and doesn’t stay put. BUT if you can wedge anything into, it holds up and worth it!

    Warm shelf light

    I like the fact that this light is a fraction of the cost of similar lamps. I bought the light in store and I would say this was the only lamp in near (not completely) good condition out of six. The rest had scratches, chips or wonky arms. If you can grab one in store, go for it.

    Adds warmth to any space

    This lamp was larger than I expected but it was perfect in suiting our need. We wanted to create a more intimate space where we keep our piano and other instruments so when we play it can feel calm without harsh, bright, lights on. This light allows us to accomplish this feeling. The brass and wood are beautiful as well!

    Read before shipping

    Beautiful lamps, but definitely inspect them carefully before purchasing. I was able to find one undamaged lamp in-store but needed four total, so I ordered the others online. Unfortunately, the lamps were shipped with no packaging, just thrown in the box. Their replacements, although wrapped, they arrived damaged also, bars broken, lamp upside down. I am writing a reveiw because I also saw broken ones on the store shelves. The packaging simply does not seem adequate to protect these lamps. I would not recommend ordering them online, and if buying in-store, inspect them thoroughly first.

    There were scratches and scrapes all over the wood. The light fixture was uneven and , the shade fit on crooked and the brass arm was bent. I received in a box that was not the original and it looks like it had. Even used. I’m very disappointed in it.

    Love/Hate

    I love this lamp so much—but do not order. Box is too large and lamp rattles around in it. Also there is a known issue with the arm not staying in position. If you want it-find it in store among all the broken arm ones—at least you will know what you are getting. There is a fix listed in the reviews-so if you want to chance it-see if you can get discount and repair it yourself.

    Pretty but low quality

    I ordered two of these lamps. When I got them one was perfect and the other was damaged in shipping. I went through the return/replace process. When I got the replacement it was a defective item. The entire metal part of the lamp is loose from the wood and will it tighten.

    Box Full of Disappointment

    This is exactly how Target packaged the order—and unsurprisingly, how it arrived: smashed. The lamps were broken, with pieces rattling around the bottom of the box. Apparently, “packaging material” wasn’t in the budget. Not that it mattered—the parts I could inspect were flimsy at best anyway. Save yourself the disappointment.

    Cute lamps

    These are the perfect lamps for a reading area! They are so cute! I will say that you have to check the lamps and make sure the arm of it is not broken or loose because I had to go in and exchange mine because the arm just swung around. When exchanging it, there were a few on the shelf that were broken as well so just be careful of that

    Dissapointed

    Wanted to love it but it’s poorly made. Screws don’t screw in right causing it to lean to one side. Also, it’s too too heavy causing the lamp shade it to lean forward.

    Bad Customer Service

    Bought this on a great sale, my order showed up and this item was missing. Reached out to customer service and they said that it's now out of stock, they can only refund. Asked if they would price match for the sale price I bought it for if it comes back into stock this week, and they said no. Disappointing service.

    The fainting goat lamp

    This has to be a joke?! One look at these lamps and they become fainting goats. The swivel is absurd. They literally do not stay upright!! Pretty sure Chip and Joanna wouldn’t use these in the Gaines home 🙄

    Beautiful but shallow

    This is beautiful and lets off a warm, subtle glow. The cord is long enough to be placed far from a plug and the switch is under the shade so it's easy to turn on and off. It is very shallow though, so I had to pull all my books to the front of the shelf because the shade was hitting the shelf above it. Not a deal breaker but I do wish it had a bit more depth.

    Faulty loose arm

    I really liked the idea and the look of this, but unfortunately it was faulty just like the other reviews have said. The arm just flops around and it's top-heavy so it won't stay up. I tried to wedge a slim piece to sturdy it to stay up, but it was still not straight and only a temporary fix really. So I had to return it. Pretty disappointed.

    do not buy this

    I love the look of this lamp but unfortunately it is not designed well. I did an online order for pickup because I was worried about it selling out. When they showed me the lamp the arm had come loose and was flopping sideways. They were able to find another one that was not defective and I took that home. It seems there is a design flaw because I only turned the lamp on and off a few times over the course of a few weeks but eventually the arm came loose and flopped sideways just like the other one. There is no way for me to tighten it so I had to return it. I'm hoping they redesign this and if so I will purchase that as it's such a great solution for a bookcase. 4 stars for looks, but if it isn't structurally sound it's not worth it.
