Wood with Cane Back Accent Chair - Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia

Love the chair, but who can I talk to on the back of the chair. Is it supposed to be flush on both sides with the arm rails? No matter how hard I tighten the bolts it does not flush mount like the other side and you can still see some of the bolt. To keep I would have to use a throw blanket or pillow to hide this flaw.

Perfect style and size. Only problem was what should have been simple assembly was difficult caused by poor alignment of screw holes,. Have a wrench handy!

I needed a chair for my son's room - one that wouldn't take up too much space and offer functionality and style. This cane back chair is 100% on target (see what I did there?). It delivered without damage to any part - event the cane back was completely intact! Easy to assemble and easily accommodates my 6'-2" husband. A nice addition to the bedroom. Great piece for an incredible price.

Its a nice heavy chair, but as mentioned by others, the back is very poorly constructed n wicker us very delicate n cracking already n places. Concerned it will snag clothes n how long before woven material will deteriorate. Nice large seat. Arms are poorly stained but not too noticeable once chair is put together.

Let me start by saying that it’s impossible to find this style of chair (black with the cane back) for this price. I searched and searched and every alternative costs almost twice as much, so I’m very happy that I found this. That said, upon unboxing I was disappointed to discover a flaw on the top corner of the backrest. A piece of the rattan is lifted/damaged.. it’s visible and will get snagged on anything it comes in contact with (annoying because I planned to drape a blanket over it). To avoid a hassle, I plan to secure it with a bit of wood glue and touch up the paint if necessary. Should be an easy fix but a fix I should not have to make to my brand new chair. Assembly is simplistic in the scheme of things, but it’s tedious. I’m not very good at this sort of thing in general, so if you’re more experienced than it’ll probably be easy. The back is the hardest part.. expecting this, I only screwed the legs on about 90% of the way initially, then I screwed the back on partially, THEN I tightened all the screws starting with the legs and finishing with the back. I think this made it easier to line up. Once assembled it looks great! It’s more substantial than I expected and looks/feels sturdy. Overall, I’m really happy with it considering the lack of alternatives in this price range.

i got this in the brown color. very good quality, sturdy, and beautiful wood. assembly was fast, but the only reason i'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because attaching the back of seat was a bit difficult as the nails had a hard time going in fully on both sides. one side would screw in all the way while the other had the nail sticking out unable to be screwed in. i finally got it good enough & the nails just wouldn't turn any further. it's not too big a deal because the chair is still safely usable. i was worried it might be too hard to sit on, but it's suprinsingly very comfortable for an all wood chair.

Very pleased with tge quality of style and design! Looks similar to high end brands that are much more expensive. Also easy to assemble!

Defective piece arrived

This chair came in perfect condition, was easy to assemble and went perfect with the matching desk. The finish is outstanding and the price was great as I was able to get it on sale. You won’t be disappointed!

This chair is so cute! Great quality and detailing.

Had it shipped to me. Reached the final step of assembly which was really hard as the screws don’t line up with the holes well, and part of the wicker was covering the hole and now came detached. Very frustrating. I now need to return it and I am 2 hours from a store and will have to drive the assembled chair back or take it all apart again and mail it back. Customer service was not helpful.

The quality is excellent. However the chair back are 2 different colors. Maybe others won’t notice.
