Q: Is it supposed to charge your phone ☎️

submitted by Jack - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi Jack - That's a great question! This space saving pencil cup has a slot to hold up your phone, however it doesn't come with a charger. We hope this helps clear things up! - Kristin

Q: Does it charge your phone or does it have a spot for your charger to go?

submitted by Greenie - 3 years ago
  • A: Hi Greenie - Great question! This cup is designed to hold your phone. If you choose, you can feed a cord to your phone through the bottom and charge your phone. We hope this helps! - Jerith

Q: Up to what size smartphone can this functionally hold up?

submitted by Wrg - 4 years ago
  • A: The holder overall is 3 1/2" wide. But the phone stand in the front has no sides on it, so it does not restrict the width of the phone. I believe you could stand any phone size there. If your phone is wider than the platform then it will simply be visible sticking out on the sides beyond the platform. I hope this helps.

I actually liked this so much I bought one for my mom. I love that there is space underneath to fit the charging cord to go underneath is. It is hard for the other person on the phone to hear you when the phone is vertical and is better heard horizontal. I use for videos and during gaming.

Love the look and design. It does leave these yellow marks on my desk though. I have cleaned them a few times but it keeps happening. There are rubber feet on the bottom that must have some yellow tone to them? So strange!

After upgrading my wfh desk, I was looking for items to organize my things on my desk and found this. It's perfect for holding my phone, albiet it has to sit sideways not vertical to fit best. It's lightweight and hols pens well.

Nice look, but the phone holder is weird

3 out of 5 stars
MySonsMother - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
This has a nice look to it, and the square shape I like as well. But the phone holder is...weird. The way it is shaped, it holds your phone basically straight up as a 90 degree angle. It doesn't hold your phone at an angle, which is what most phone holders do. I have it at my desk at work and it does its job as a pencil cup, but I have it turned around and don't use the phone holder.

Just terrible

1 out of 5 stars
KristyT - 2 years ago, Verified purchaser
Badly designed. When you put your charger cable in the hole in the bottom, you have to pull it out to actually connect it to your phone. Which leaves cord out... which sets the entire thing off kilter and it falls over. So you have to pull the cable back through.... to then repeat the entire process to remove your phone from the charger. Rinse and repeat every time you want to charge your phone. So you end up using it with the cord on the side and your phone laying sideways, which is the opposite of why it was purchased to begin with.

I keep this on my desk to set my phone on while I’m journaling, coloring, etc. It looks cute & works, by only complaint is that the slot where you stick your phone is curved instead of flat so much phone doesn’t sit securely in it.

Sturdy & convenient

5 out of 5 stars
Lin - 3 years ago
I got this to keep my smartphone at my desk, but it also holds my 10" tablet securely, so that's convenient to have that as an option as well! I didn't end up using the charging option—the space underneath for the charging cord wasn't quite large enough for my cord (so it ended up wobbling side to side a bit because the cord was making a ridge in the flat base of the stand), and plugging/unplugging the phone was too much of a hassle without shaking everything in the pencil cup portion around. But other than that, I like it a lot! The pencil cup portion is plenty large (I've got half a dozen writing implements, scissors, a ruler, cable knitting needle and drop spindle, and there's plenty of room left over). I'm also keeping index cards on the phone stand portion behind the phone. One thing I would point out is that the footprint of the stand is not small! (3.5"x5.5") It's worth it to me for what you get, but it's definitely taking up more space on my desk than when I was just keeping writing implements in a cup.

Meh

The general idea of it is nice. But don't really use the phone holder like I thought I would. Kind of a pain connecting and disconnecting my phone from charging chord because I pull the whole cupholder will me. The feel of it reminds me of Styrofoam with a grain. Arrived with a chip on the corner as well.

I actually got this to use on my son's nightstand for his phone and his glasses for bedtime. You can use the pencil slot for anything really like a remote etc. Great product and affordable
