This blanket is made from tweed yarn, and yes, the flecks of color are little bits of other fibers spun into the yarn. They can come out, and it’s like other tweed yarns I have knit with. It is warm without being hot, and looks very nice. I would probably only hand wash or spot clean it as needed.

LOVE this blanket!! I originally bought this for our bed but it was kinda heavy and didn’t move very easily. So we instead put it on our giant modular couch and it is perfect for it!
