Xbox one X -DOA one month after warranty expiration. I'm told on board graphics chip overheated and is toast. $400 pile of useless garbage!

I've had this since early December and it worked for maybe four months before the wi-fi quit working. Had to hard wire it and that worked for a while, but now the internet will drop out and kick me out of the game and party I was in probably once every other time I play. Game updates frequently break and stop mid update. After searching online, I've found many people are having the same issues as me, (some since the release of the console!) but Microsoft doesn't seem to want to address the problem. It's a shame because I might've bought their new console when it's released, but there's no way now. Thankfully it's under warranty, but my luck I'll have the same issues with a new one. The one X was really nice when it wasn't kicking me out of games. Graphics on a decent chunk of games look better than my PC, which is impressive.

What garbage. The clock resets every time you power it off. Any games you buy with backwards compatiblity from Xbox 360 require Xbox live subscription to play them (otherwise you can't save) and Microsoft tales a week every time they respond to you. Crazy how annoying they have managed to make every aspect of owning this console.

After I got the console home and all hooked up I started the process of setting up a new console as I have done many times before with Microsoft xbox products. After the setup is complete I have a few games downloading in the background. The console goes into idle mode, as usual. However I can not get it out of idle mode. The controller is hooked up and on. Just not working. So after trying everything in the book to get the controller to hook up to the console and 2 hours of my time, I am only able to get it to connect for a couple of minutes at best before it would stop working again. It did not flash like it usually does when the controller disconnects from the console, the light just stayed on like it does when it is connected and good to go. Day 2 and I'm still having the same issue. Maybe playstation is calling my name?

Hi Tyler, we're sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your new Xbox One X. It's definitely unusual for this to happen, so we recommend that you return the console to Target for an exchange. We sincerely hope that you'll give Xbox One X another chance. --Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

I was unsure about spending the additional money when I already had an Xbox One. I bought it because of the special purchase that in basically included a free Red Dead game. The graphics are definitely much improved and I can't wait to play the newer games that are coming out. I do think it makes my old games look better but the new Red Dead game is super ridiculous with the scenery....

Hey there, we're overjoyed to hear that you're noticing how much better games look on Xbox One X. Red Dead Redemption II is a great example, but there are also hundreds of other Xbox games that have been enhanced just for the greater power of Xbox One X. A list of enhanced games can be found here: https://www.xbox.com/en-us/games/xbox-one/xbox-one-x-enhanced-list --Chuck, Xbox Customer Care

I played my previous Xbox one (Forza 6 edition) to actual death. The system was taking forever to load anything, games were crashing, the console was turning itself on several times throughout the day and night without command. This new Xbox One X is a game changer! It’s blowing my mind how fast it operates and multitasks seamlessly. I don’t even have a 4K tv and everything looks fantastic. The only thing I regret is not upgrading sooner.

I bought this because my local target had it on sale for 350$ because someone returned it and I can’t get off of it. Plus it has a 4K blu ray player. I have a PS4 pro also and you can sure tell a difference on a good 4K Tv. The console is sleek and can fit and look good anywhere. The Xbox one x enhanced games keep making the console better and better , I love that feature on it. Especially on 360 and Xbox games. Red dead redemption, assassins creed , halo 3 , the Witcher 2 all in 4K because Microsoft uses way to multiple the 720p mark 9 times to get it to 4K on those games and more. It’s pretty cool, although I do have one complain. It’s the lack of exclusives on the console , on my PS4 pro the exclusive look amazing because they use the pull power of that console, like Spider-Man and god of war . also feel like they ( exclusive ) should just stay on Xbox and lets not do the Xbox everywhere because we need competitiveness. Overall, great console, the controller is also the best out there
