Q: Is the Xbox Play and Charge compatible with Xbox series X (newest console) controllers?
A: Thanks for asking! Yes, this product is compatible with Xbox Series X/S controllers.
submitted byMicrosoftOutreachTeam - 4 years agoBrand expertA: It is for the new controllers that use USB-C as the connecting port on top (the oval shape)
submitted byManilabook - 4 years agoA: its a little spendy but i think its worth it. It essentially makes it like the PS4/5 controller. You put this in and then connect the USB C to the normal controller port (its not a separate plug in like a lot of previous battery packs).

Q: Is this compatible with Xbox One S controllers?
A: The battery in this kit will fit in your controller and work, but the USB-C cable will not connect to your controller. However, any standard micro-USB cable will work. So, if you get this kit you'll end up with an extra USB-A to USB-C cable that you may or may not need or want. Look for the Xbox One Play and Charge Kit; model number S3V-00001. It is usually the same price and the micro-USB cable that comes in that kit has a little light on it which is a nice touch.
submitted bySuperJDubz - 4 years agoA: Thanks for asking! This product is designed for use with Xbox Series X/S controllers, however its rechargeable battery will work with controllers designed for Xbox One as long as you provide a micro-USB cable. The included USB-C cable is not compatible with older Xbox controllers.
