The introduction & Instructions on how to use it is super simple and easy to follow. It does provide a guide on how much of the “gain” you want in control for the mic and settings for individual, group, and more! Super good for streaming. I use OBS and the mic pick up is super nice and has noise canceling. The mute button also works nicely and super helpful whenever in call to mute yourself instead of going through the process of opening the tab to mute yourself when you can do it as quick in a second with the button. Super satisfied with it!

If you are looking for a great USB microphone this is my favorite one. It feels solid, and sounds great, I love every feature of this microphone. Don't underestimate its size, it is definitely a Yeti. You don't have to speak directly into the microphone. There are adjustments that can change where the direction of the sound is recorded from. You can change the Gain on the mic itself, which is another added bonus.

This Yeti microphone is great! It packs a big punch for what it is. The sound quality is intense. I was doing a ASMR video on my laptop and the microphone was picking up sounds from downstairs in my basement. For the most part this is very easy to use and straight forward. I only gave this 4 stars instead of 5 because I didnt see anywhere in the directions where you had to unplug the microphone from the laptop to hear the video you made. Which all is common sense really but when you are following directions you just don't think of something like that. So I fiddled with sound setting and the microphone for awhile trying to figure out how to hear the video. Other than that this microphone did exactly what it was supposed to and executed it well! I am very impressed by this product.

If you would like to listen to your recording with the mic still plugged in, check your audio output settings. This mic has a mute button/status light on the front. If you are playing back audio through speakers with a live mic, you will want to mute or adjust the mic to prevent feedback. This mic has a headphone (3.5mm) input on the bottom for direct, no latency monitoring. This input is likely the default audio output on your computer with current setup. Please check your settings, it sounds like the setup you are looking for is in the audio output settings. For further support. Please visit the support website. This is such an awesome microphone! 1. I love how it looks-I do wish it was completely black, but the tiny bit of silver doesn't bother me much. I really like how it looks on my desk, and how compact it is. 2. It's really easy to set up! I am not a tech expert, but it was easy to plug it into my Mac, download the app and set it up. 3. The mic feels high quality, stable, and can pivot on the stand for easy storage. I love the matte black look. 4. The produce is securely packaged, and I felt confident that the item was not damaged in any way. 5. The sound quality is great! I am not a sound expert, but I can tell the difference between my in-mac microphone and the Yeti Nano-the Nano is much better.

This is a wonderful product. It is made very well and the quality of the recordings is remarkable. It is very easy to use and hookup. There is different setting so that you can do different things with the microphone, like recording instruments. You can use it for many things, like gaming, singing, podcast, or video blogging. I would definitely recommend this microphone to anyone looking for quality at a great price.

Picks up sound from a decent distance away. Crisp sound without having to be right on top of the microphone. People listening to us speak did say it sounded very different than when we used a headset with microphone while gaming.

I’ve been wanting to try out the Yeti Nano for the longest! I love the slickness of the mic, the matte black bottom and the metallic black top is so beautiful and it makes you want to belt out a song or give a long interesting talk. The mic picks up sound very nicely and the playback is nice and clear. The only complaint that I have is the software that you have to download, it’s not an easy walk through and once you get on the blue app it takes a while to learn the app and to get things found. Other than that I am very satisfied and very ready to start a podcast!

The Yeti Nano is a great beginner condenser microphone. It offers many pro features like the option to choose a cardioid or omnidirectional pattern, supports sampling rates up to 24-bit/48kHz, zero-latency headphone output, and quick and easy volume controls. It comes with a mic stand as well as adapter screws if you want to use it with a boom. The build quality is really good, it's solid and does not feel flimsy at all. I’ve used it to record a round table podcast using omnidirectional and Twitch streams in cardioid and it works great. The audio quality is very loud and clear. I like the size of the Nano, it’s not very big and it looks great on your desk, like a piece of art. It's a USB mic so it can connect and be powered with one cable. I do wish that they went with USB-C instead of micro because it’s another cable I will need to remember to bring with me if I were to ever travel with it. Overall, I think that the Yeti Nano is a little pricey but you get a well-built mic that has many decent features that is necessary for a good audio recording. If you can muster up the $100 that this retails for, I highly recommend it.

This small but mighty mic surprised me with how clear the sound quality is. It was so easy to set up, all you have to do is plug it into a USB port on your laptop and download an app and you're ready to go. My husband works in radio and was impressed by the quality of the microphone and the features it has. I like how you can control additional features in the Blue app before you record. I used Adobe Audition and Adobe Rush to record voice-overs for videos and the mic made such a difference. Its small size means it doesn't take up space. I do have to elevate it (I used a tall candle) to record, since the sound sounds best when you talk into it, not over it. Overall, I'm very impressed and pleased with this mic and would recommend it to anyone.

The Yeti Nano is a great quality product that is super easy to use. The setup is plug and play so I was able to begin using it within minutes. The microphone has a professional and sleek look with a small footprint. It comes with a built-in mic stand that is easily adjusted. The sound quality is clear and has two mic settings, cardioid and omnidirectional. The settings can be switched by pressing the button on the back of the mic. Cardioid records sound that is directly in front of the mic which is good for podcasts, game streaming, vocal performances, etc. Omnidirectional is best used for recording sound all around the mic with several people. I tried both settings and each was crystal clear. It also has a headphone port that allows you to hear your voice in real time. The front of the mic has a headphone volume control dial that doubles as a mute button too. Very impressed with this mic!
Great Microphone At A Reasonable Price

After returning several cheap microphones bought off a popular marketplace website, due to the products arriving damaged or not working, I found that Target offered a good price on the Blue Yeti Blackout, and I bought it. The product was shipped to me without damage, and it works very well.
I use the Yeti on the stand it came on, which I elevate on my desk by placing a small box underneath it. I bought the Moukey pop filter to use with the mic, which fits perfectly and provides good protection for the mic capsule. I set the pickup pattern to cardioid, and also set the gain level knob to around the ten-o-clock position.
The only problem I encountered with the mic is that I had great difficulty rotating the mic around on its stand to the upright position, when it first arrived. I unscrewed the knob that turns all the way, even to the extent that the knob separated from the stand, but still I had to use a lot of force to rotate the mic so that it was in the best position to pick up my voice from the front. I don't know why this was the case, but the mic is now in the correct position, and it works very well. It definitely sounds better than the cheaper mics I tried before buying this one.
In summary, I like the Yeti Blackout quality, the mute button, the headphone input and volume knob, the gain knob, and the pickup pattern option knob. And the mic looks great in all-black, too. It just works very well. And, it works while plugged into a powered USB hub.
Best microphone bang for the buck!

I was really enjoying the microphone for a couple of months, but when I left for a week I came back and learned that the wire had shorted or something since it caught fire right on my desk. I left the mic plugged in to my pc but I didn’t think that would cause an issue. I am very disappointed that the product was destroyed and rendered useless. The worst part is since I was gone my parents threw away the mic and I can’t redeem the warranty with Yeti since I don’t have pictures or a serial anymore.
