This was a gift for my adult son, who is just beginning to do yoga. The extra length and thickness were perfect for him -- he is 6'1" and about 200 pounds. He complained that his hands slipped on the mat when he was perspiring.... possibly because it is new. It's hard to find a mat with just the right thickness for yoga --- this has it.
