Love this sound machine. I bought it to bring on trips with us because I struggle to fall asleep in hotels and visiting family because of the noise outside the room. Small enough to take with me and blocks out noise like a fan not just with noise like from a sound machine app on the phone.

i had a model of this sound machine from the 90s that was still going strong but i opened it up for what was probably the first time ever and it was so dirty inside i threw it out and bought this to replace it. if this one holds up as well as the last it's an absolute steal. it's louder, the volume adjustments really make a difference in the sound, it feels solid, and it has nice little rubber feet to keep it from rattling on the table (had to keep the old one on a cloth coaster). this time i'll keep it clean!

We're so sorry you had an issue with your Dohm Elite. We recommend cleaning your machine routinely. Sometimes, dust can build up on the motor inside, causing the sound to change. We recommend simply wiping the exterior with a damp cloth. You can also use a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol to clean the vent openings. In order to clean the inside of the unit, use a vacuum hose and proceed to each opening suctioning out any dust inside the unit.

I loved this machine until my kids dropped it; after they it was dropped it just stopped working sadly I didn't purchase insurance for it so I had to toss it. MAKE SURE U DON'T DROP IT even if on carpet

OK. Better than the other one claiming to be the original, but far short of the Marpac I had for years and years. Strange buzzing noise, at a frequency that stands out from the white noise. The other version did, too. I often have to wear earplugs to block out the buzz.

I bought it because it mimics a fan noise. So I was highly disappointed when I got home to try it out and the sound was very weak. It was not as loud as I was expecting it to be. An actual small fan would be better to use than this.

Really really like this sound machine. Love that it is an actual fan vs a recorded white noise playing. Makes for a better more natural sound, no tinny-ness, and no breaks in the sound. Very adjustable on loudness as well, but you will likely want or need to use it all the way up. At it's highest loudness and directly across the room from the crib (on the dresser) it's producing right at 50 decibels.

I wanted a plug into the wall machine that had just a white noise sound. Didn't need all the fancy bells and whistles. Reading reviews was worried this wouldn't be loud enough, when I took it out of the box and turned on, didn't seem loud. However, in my sons room, this is perfect! It has suprisingly great volume and it's so easy to operate. A simple switch and then rotate the top for more or less noise. Even Grandma can figure this out. The white noise really covers all other sounds outside my kids room. I did so much research on options, but this is all that's needed.

I’ve been a dohm customer for 8 years. This is my least favorite model to date. The sound adjustment is too loose so it moved when you flick the machine on, even when making an effort to not. You have to find your sweet spot each night and it feels very frustrating. I’m returning for a previous model.
