Junk 😪 Hoping to salvage them...

My family loves all things Star Wars and I was planning to get a set as a frivolous school supply bonus surprise for my girls. My older loves dark side and my younger, the light. The sweetest young boy (customer) not only helped my find them, but pointed out they came in traditional red/blue and also green/purple and which did I prefer? I couldn't get my cart there so he delivered them to me! Now that made it difficult because I love Master Mace and Purple is my favorite color so I said how do I choose!? He made some excellent points, took the set I didn't choose and put it away and went off with his grown up. I wanted to run into them again both so I could tell his grown up she was raising him right, and to tell him I went back for the other set so my husband and I could each have one too. I didn't see them again, but was SO excited to hand them out when I got home! I REALLY wanted to love these pens now. Family was thrilled and we started playing right away. Within minutes some of them appeared to flicker and/or appear duller and there doesn't seem to be a way to replace the battery. The pens still work, but the light up feature made them special. Super sad if we can't fix them.
