This is nothing but an electric razor. It simply superficially cuts the top of the hair to the skin rather than pulls it out like an epilator. It takes a lot to even get it to do that.

I read all the instructions prior to using, and even waited to use it until I could get the lithium battery, as they suggested. The first use went great, it was pretty powerful, and did a decent job removing my unwanted facial hairs. I was hoping it would outperform my as seen on tv one, but it was about the same. After use, I opened the top and used the brush to remove the hair. This is where I noticed the first problem. The hairs were supposed to collect in the little tray area below the razor blades, but they all just got stuck up around the blades, and I had a really hard time getting the brush to sweep them out. I finally got that done, and thought all was fine until my second time using it. The second time I turned it on, I immediately knew something was wrong, and heard what sounded like grinding gears. I opened up the top and inspected, and thought maybe I didn't get the shaft that spins the blades matched up with the grooves (the shaft has prongs at the top, AND there are grooves around where the head goes back on, and there is NO WAY of making sure the prongs match up), re-positioned and re-tried it. My partner took a look and was able to get it running normal...for about 5 seconds. It slipped loose and started grinding again. I tried over and over for nearly 30 minutes to see if I could get it to work. I was able to eek out enough to thin my unibrow, but I still had to break out the tweezers and an underarm razor from my bathroom to remove all the unwanted hairs. This would be a decent razor if you never had to clean it out, but as that's not a possibility, I am now out not just the money for this, but also a pack of lithium batteries. I'm going back to the as seen on tv brand, and do NOT recommend this product.

This is a total piece of junk. I just took it out of the box and it will not turn on (with a fresh battery). Maybe I'm reading into it, but it also seems kind of smudgy, like someone's already returned it (probably because it didn't work whatsoever). Waste of money!

I really love this tool! I feel like it works exceedingly better than my Flawless brand hair remover. I tested a portion of my face and when I was finished, my skin felt so smooth like I had just used a dermaplaning razor. Furthermore, it did not irritate or pinch my skin and it looks attractive and unassuming in my bathroom drawer. For the reasonable price, I am going to buy an extra one or two to keep on hand.

Love this! Had one before that was battery only for years . Upgraded to this model and am glad I did !
