Q: Why does this mug has a p65 warning for California?

A: Thank you for your inquiry. The stainless steel in the interior of the vacuum mug and spring in the lid contains nickel. Nickel is an important alloying element in food-grade stainless steel. It provides high anti-corrosive properties to the stainless steel (surgical steel contains nickel). The sticker on the bottom of the outside of the vacuum mug contains DBP. Please note that the bottom of the vacuum mug does not come in to direct contact with food or beverage. Q: How do you clean this? Is it dishwasher safe?

The SM-KA model has a non-stick coated interior whereas the SM-KHE does not and instead has an electro-polilshed interior with no non-stick coating. A: No but fairly similar. The model number for this item is "SM-KHE48". Main difference is the bottle interior: this model is SlickSteel finish and the "SM-SA48" is nonstick coating.

This is my sisters favorite coffee mug. Our only complaint is that the emerald color is no longer emerald but more teal now. It’s her favorite color and when she orders them they always show up teal instead of emerald. It’s a lot of money for your favorite mug to be the wrong color.

These are the best mugs ever. I use one for the gym and fill with water and ice. Water will stay COLD for at least 12 hours. Second mug is filled with my dunking donuts hot coffee and that will stay HOT for hours as well. Amazing!!!!!

Bought the Champagne Gold color as a commuter mug. Not only is the exterior beautiful, the mug flat out works perfectly. I fill with hot tea at 7am and it is HOT until the afternoon. I clean it every night when I get home and it is a breeze as the lid disassembles easily. Don't settle for cheap mugs that don't keep liquids hot and leak. This Zojirushi is the best of the best, well thought out, cleans easily, keeps liquids hot or cold for hours, and doesn't leak!
