I've been using a "name brand" compression stocking for some time at a cost three times the amount of the Ontel hose. I thought I'd try the Ontel to see how they compare, and they beat the name brand hands down!! The compression is the same or better than the name brand without the constriction below the knee. I can wear the Ontel throughout the day without irritation. I would recommend them over the name brand, definitely! My only regret is that I only found them in black, but I can live with that!
I could not believe the difference the Futuro Therapeutic compression stocking made when I first put it on. I immediately felt relief and the large bulging vein in my upper thigh almost disappeared completely! I would highly recommend these to anyone suffering from venous insufficiency.

Great quality, too bulky to wear under dress socks.
This is a great (and very firm) support sock , but it is too bulky to wear under any other sock and way to ugly to wear alone. It would make afantastic support sock for when you want to excercise, etc.
I needed support hose for international airline travel and found that not much is offered in the retail stores. I checked online and found these at Target.com. They are considered "mild compression" but do the job. They are comfortable and wash up nicely. The only drawback was having to pay for shipping for such a small, lightweight purchase.
