They are so versatile, they can be used as a plate or as a bowl..They are dishwasher and microwave safe, and who doesn’t love that!! The gray color is also beautiful and it goes with just about any tablecloth or other dishes you’d like to use.. This stonewear set is made so well, sturdy yet not heavy.. This 34oz Irregular Stoneware Pasta/Grain Bowl Black from Hearth & Hand is pretty interesting. I mean, a black pasta bowl with an irregular shape certainly makes a statement. I think the aesthetic is a hand crafted look with the irregular shape and sort of country kitchen, but then making it stark black updates it to look more modern. As a pasta dish it works great, the stoneware always keeps food hot longer in my experience, so that's a big plus. If you like the look, definitely pick one up.
